Xbox Games Showcase 2026 was packed with announcements from beginning to end, and while Part 1 focused on the biggest first-party reveals, there were still plenty of major announcements from Microsoft’s partners and live-service teams waiting in the wings.

From the long-awaited reveal of Persona 6 and the return of Metro to major updates for Sea of Thieves, Fallout 76 and The Elder Scrolls Online, Xbox showcased an impressive variety of experiences spanning RPGs, shooters, simulations, action adventures and multiplayer favourites.

Here’s everything else announced during Xbox Games Showcase 2026.

    Persona 6 Finally Becomes Reality

After years of speculation, rumours and endless fan requests, ATLUS finally unveiled Persona 6.

The brief teaser didn’t reveal too many details about the story or gameplay, but it immediately generated huge excitement among RPG fans worldwide. The trailer showcased the stylish visual identity the franchise is known for while teasing a brand-new cast of characters and a fresh standalone adventure.

While ATLUS is keeping many details secret for now, the announcement alone was enough to become one of the showcase’s most talked-about moments.

Given the enormous success of Persona 5, expectations for Persona 6 are incredibly high, and fans will be watching closely for more information in the coming months.

We would just show you the trailer for this title but the trailer shows nothing really, but if you fancy watching it click here

Persona 4 Revival Gets a Release Date

    ATLUS wasn’t finished there.

The publisher also confirmed that Persona 4 Revival will launch on February 18, 2027.

The remake modernises the beloved RPG with enhanced visuals, updated gameplay systems, quality-of-life improvements and a refreshed presentation while preserving the story and characters that made the original a fan favourite.

For longtime fans and newcomers alike, Persona 4 Revival looks set to deliver one of the most anticipated RPG releases of 2027.

Metro 2039 Delivers a Dark New Journey

Fans of post-apocalyptic adventures received their first gameplay look at Metro 2039.

Set within the franchise’s bleak vision of a devastated Moscow, the new trailer showcased stunning visuals, atmospheric environments and the tense survival gameplay the series has become known for.

Players will encounter dangerous factions, terrifying mutants and a world shaped by propaganda, conflict and desperation.

The footage also hinted at new weapons, expanded exploration opportunities and additional survival mechanics that could help push the franchise forward.

Metro 2039 is currently scheduled for release in February 2027.

Wo Long 2 Continues Team Ninja’s Action RPG Legacy

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember was officially revealed during the showcase, bringing Team Ninja’s fantasy interpretation of Chinese history back for another brutal adventure.

Set after the events of the original game, the sequel promises larger battlefields, expanded combat systems and more challenging encounters against both human and supernatural enemies.

Team Ninja appears to be refining the fast-paced combat that made the first title so popular, while introducing new mechanics and progression systems designed to deepen the overall experience.

Action RPG fans should keep a close eye on this one ahead of its planned early 2027 launch.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy Expands the Universe

Asobo Studio returned with another look at Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy.

Serving as a prequel to the original games, the story follows Sophia on a dangerous expedition to a mysterious island filled with ancient secrets and hidden dangers.

The latest gameplay footage highlighted a greater emphasis on combat while retaining the exploration, puzzle-solving and narrative elements that helped establish the series.

The game aims to explore the origins of several mysteries that have lingered throughout the franchise while delivering a standalone adventure that both newcomers and existing fans can enjoy.

    Resonance launches on August 27.

Valor Mortis Brings Soulslike Combat to the Napoleonic Era

One of the showcase’s more unique reveals came in the form of Valor Mortis.

This first-person Soulslike adventure reimagines the Napoleonic Wars through a dark fantasy lens, placing players in the role of a fallen soldier who returns from death to confront supernatural horrors.

The reveal trailer combined brutal melee combat, dark magic and grotesque creatures while teasing a narrative involving destiny, loyalty and power.

With actor Vincent Cassel lending his voice to Napoleon Bonaparte, Valor Mortis could become one of the most interesting action RPGs arriving later this year.

The game launches on September 24.

    Vivarium Offers a Cozy Alternative

Not every game at the showcase focused on war, monsters and survival.

Vivarium introduced a charming life-simulation adventure inspired by classic anime films and television series.

Players will explore a vibrant terrarium-like world populated by unusual characters while uncovering secrets hidden beneath its peaceful exterior.

Featuring a dynamic passage of time, player-driven storytelling and relaxing gameplay systems, Vivarium could become a favourite among players looking for a more laid-back experience.

The title is expected to arrive in 2027.

    Where Winds Meet Arrives Immediately

One of the biggest surprises of the showcase came when Xbox announced that Where Winds Meet was available immediately.

The free-to-play open-world action RPG transports players to 10th-century China, where they can develop their own martial arts style while exploring a vast and visually impressive world.

The launch trailer also teased the upcoming Hidden Mountain expansion, suggesting the adventure is only just beginning.

Magicians: The Devil’s Deal Reveals a Dark Fantasy World

Magicians: The Devil’s Deal made its debut with a stylish reveal trailer that combined first-person action, supernatural abilities and Victorian-inspired horror.

Players take control of Jacob, a magician trapped by a pact with the Devil, as he fights his way through a twisted version of London known as Theatreland.

The game combines exploration, narrative choices and magical combat in a world where ambition and consequence appear central to the story.

    It’s currently targeting a 2027 release.

JOIN US Brings Cult Management to Xbox

One of the showcase’s strangest and most memorable announcements was JOIN US.

This darkly comedic cooperative survival game tasks players with building and managing their own doomsday cult ahead of an approaching apocalypse.

Recruiting followers, constructing compounds, managing resources and spreading your teachings all form part of the experience.

With support for up to four players and a distinctive sense of humour, JOIN US could become a cult hit when it launches in March 2027.

Age of Empires IV Expands with Raiders of the North

Strategy fans were not forgotten during the showcase.

Age of Empires IV is receiving a major expansion called Raiders of the North, introducing both the Vikings and Scots as fully playable civilizations.

The expansion also adds new units, buildings, strategies, missions and environments designed to expand the game’s already impressive amount of content.

For fans of historical strategy games, this looks like a substantial addition.

The Elder Scrolls Online Begins Season One

The Elder Scrolls Online continues to evolve with the arrival of Season One.

The update introduces a brand-new Thieves Guild storyline while also promising additional content throughout the season, including events, challenges, rewards and encounters with familiar figures from Elder Scrolls lore.

Microsoft also confirmed that ESO is now fully integrated with PC Game Pass, making it easier than ever for players to jump into Tamriel.

Watch the Thieves guild return here in a new trailer for season one.

Fallout 76 Receives the Infestations Update

Appalachia is becoming more dangerous once again.

The new Infestations update for Fallout 76 transforms familiar locations across the map into dangerous hotspots occupied by deadly enemies.

Players who survive these encounters will gain access to valuable rewards, including new high-level equipment and modifications.

The update launches alongside a brand-new season featuring additional progression rewards and cosmetic unlocks.

    Watch the launch trailer here

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Continues to Grow

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 received two major announcements during the showcase.

First, World Update 22 introduces more than 30 detailed United States national parks, dramatically expanding the simulator’s already impressive recreation of the real world.

Second, players will soon be able to participate in National Championship Air Races, bringing competitive aviation events into the simulator later this year.

Both updates continue Microsoft’s commitment to expanding what remains one of the most ambitious simulation experiences ever created.

    Watch the new trailer here

Sea of Thieves Season 20 Gives Players More Control Than Ever

Sea of Thieves is introducing one of its most ambitious features to date.

Season 20 adds Custom Seas, allowing players to create their own game modes, adjust rules, spawn enemies and build unique experiences with friends.

The feature effectively turns Sea of Thieves into a sandbox where communities can create their own challenges, competitions and stories.

Rare demonstrated several examples during the showcase, highlighting the enormous creative potential Custom Seas could unlock.

The update launches on June 18 and will be available free to all players.

    Final Thoughts

Xbox Games Showcase 2026 demonstrated the breadth of Microsoft’s growing gaming ecosystem. Alongside major first-party releases such as Gears of War: E-Day and Fable, the company showcased an impressive collection of partner projects, RPGs, live-service updates and surprise reveals.

Persona 6, Metro 2039 and Wo Long 2 were among the standout announcements, while ongoing support for games such as Sea of Thieves, Fallout 76 and The Elder Scrolls Online highlighted Microsoft’s continued investment in long-term communities.

Taken together, Parts 1 and 2 reveal a showcase packed with exciting projects that should keep Xbox players busy well into 2027 and beyond.
