Cover’s hololive English branch is up to four generations already, with Justice featuring a number of English-speaking individuals worldwide, and Vtuber Cecilia Immergreen is among them. She celebrated her first anniversary with the company back in June 2025, and recently had her 3D debut and participated in the English’s 3rd Concert, All for One. Siliconera got a chance to ask her a few questions after the event and go over things she’d accomplished in the year after her debut.

Jenni Lada: Congratulations on being with hololive as a Vtuber for a full year now! How has the first year been, and did anything really surprise you once you started streaming with the company?

Cecilia Immergreen: Thank you so much! I’ve been having so much fun! It’s still crazy that it’s been a year, it feels like Justice debuted just a month ago to be honest… Overall I’ve been super happy all my dreams are coming true and honestly it feels like it’s just the beginning.
I think the main thing that surprises me all the time is how much goes into things behind the scenes. Before I would always think “how complicated can it be,” but no… it can be really complicated.

The amount of staff that was involved in All for One (our 3D concert) for example is just insane. And a lot of thought, effort and love gets poured into all of these things and it’s really impressive to me to be honest. It makes me happy and makes me want to work harder myself too!

I also still get shocked by the fan support to be honest. Personally, my viewers (otomos!) have done so much for me when it comes to kind words, silent support or cheering for me during big and small events. It’s insane to think about and I still struggle rationalising it sometimes. Tthank you, otomos!)

For your 3D stream, you actually pulled together a small hololive Vtuber orchestra for a performance. How much coordination went into this, and how did you manage to get everyone together for that?

Immergreen: I’m not much of a planner but from the moment I knew we were doing 3D, I reaaaaaally wanted a mini holo orchestra. So first I thought about anyone who plays an instrument and had no scheduling conflicts. Then we had our mismatch of instruments and then had to think about what song to do… it definitely wasn’t a normal ensemble, hehe.

After a lot of thinking, I realised the first holo schoolband piece HAD to be “Shiny Smily Story,” and then Jeremy Robson our composer/arranger arranged it to fit all of these different instruments and did an incredible job. There was a lot of back and forth to change keys and instrumentation to match, and then we ended up with a very cute version in my opinion.

I really want to do it again, it was so much fun playing with everyone!

As part of your 3D model debut, you ended up releasing the original song “Wind-Up.” How long did it take to prepare it, since you both composed it and wrote the lyrics, and did you run into any unexpected challenges during the process?

Immergreen: Again… terrible planner so… I pitched the idea of the original song all the way at the beginning of the year but then it was just kind of sitting there.. But deadlines were coming up so I wrote the base structure in a day and just sent it.

And then a while later with the help of the incredible Aethoro (who helped produce it), I was able to finish the song and he cleaned it up. So overall it took a long time because of my lack of foresight but the actual work itself was not too bad. I definitely learned a lot from it and will go about writing a song differently if I do it again!

I think my biggest difficulty composing the song was self-doubt to be honest. I’m not a professional composer and self-taught. I basically just do it for fun. So although that was my mindset going into it, the more it came together the more I felt like it was not good enough. Especially for hololive standards. Everyone releases such amazing original music and the standard is so high. So my DIY project just didn’t feel good enough you know?

But with the help of some of the other EN girls including a cute owl encouraging me and also just breaking through that weird perfectionism bubble I was in, I was able to release it in the end!

And while writing the lyrics it actually kind of became the theme of the song so it all worked out in the end. All the kind comments from my viewers have really helped it feel like a success and I think I’m a bit more confident now to tackle my next project! I’ll definitely do a better job time management wise lol

Could we end up seeing you do more orchestral pieces and performances, now that “Wind-Up” released and is a success? Perhaps even some original compositions?

Immergreen: I would love to, to be honest. I’ve had this idea in the back of my head for a while that it would be fun to do a holo musical or just writing theme songs for some of the different girls.

There’s always a lot going on so I haven’t had the time to tackle it yet… but it’s a dream of mine.. And I’m going to be here for a long time so I think I’ll be able to do it! Maybe! Hopefully! One day! So many ideas… so little time… (a secret: there is one small thing cooking right now though so please look forward to that!)

Given how important music is to you and your performances, do you have any goals going forward involving working on theme songs or scores? Could we hear your compositions in an anime or video game?

Immergreen: One of my dreams has always been to collaborate with an indie game and create a piece for a soundtrack for it. I don’t know if I have what it takes to be honest because again, I see myself as more of a beginner. But it would be incredible to one day be able to do it and maybe hear my own music in a game.

While you are known for your music abilities, we actually saw you do some art and rigging in the past! You prepared the puppet model for your birthday stream back in November 2024. What led to that decision, and could we see you prepare similar sorts of models in the future?

Immergreen: Yes absolutely! I love Live2d rigging. It’s a guilty pleasure of mine. I know that it would be easier and more time efficient to hire someone but I really just love it. It’s a lot of fun to make things move and see something flat 2d turn into a model/animation.

So every time there’s the possibility of rigging something, I’ll rig it!

For example some of my cover songs have parts in them that were rigged by me (even “Wind-Up” has like a 3 second section haha). I was also able to rig my Kimono outfit for my own body so that was really cool!

As for making new models themselves I really do want to make more small chibis and the like. And Justice is cooking something right now which might be out by the time this interview comes out! (or not and then I have spoiled it my bad guys)

You got to take part in the Hololive English latest 3rd Concert, All for One. What did preparation for that look like?

Immergreen: As I mentioned a little bit earlier, preparations were crazy! A lot of technical stuff and staff support goes into these type of things.

But from a personal standpoint I had to do a lot of dance practice! I’m still a beginner at dancing so it takes me a while to learn new choreos but that was definitely a big part of it for me.

Also learning the different songs (I struggle a lot with Japanese songs) and of course going to America itself for it.

It was a lot of fun though! Just hanging out with the other girls and learning choreos and being able to have our inputs and creative freedom when it comes to things here and there and then actually performing in front of soooo many people. It was crazy! I haven’t really processed it yet!
I was also able to play the violin for a small part in Shallys so that was a dream come true! Overall the concert was incredibly fun! Hopefully there will be more in the future!!!

What would you like to achieve during your second year as a Vtuber with hololive?

Immergreen: Personally, I really want to do more projects! It’s hard because my biggest flaw is time management… but! I will overcome it! Hopefully!

I would like to do a quiz show for example and also that musical that I keep thinking about…

And more music is definitely something I’m working towards! Be it original songs or compositions or just taking part in more concerts!

I also want to challenge myself a bit and maybe do some things outside of my comfort zone!

But at the end of the day the most important thing for me is to have fun and create fun streams and projects that otomos enjoy as well. I’m very joy motivated lol so as long as I have fun, things will keep rolling! And we can reach new goals and dreams and wind-up high (yay!) together!

Thanks for reading my rambles and thank you for supporting me, everyone! I’ll do my best this second year too!

You can find Cecilia Immergreen on YouTube and social media.
