While her hair hue was undeniably eye-catching, she kept her outfit a bit more subdued, opting for a black floor-length gown with puffy sleeves—and for a little added flair (she is Lady Gaga after all), fishnet stocking that peeked through as she walked the red carpet. Her makeup was also simple and classic: sleek winged eyeliner and soft rose pink lipstick and blush.

This isn’t Gaga’s first time sporting red hair ahead of the highly-anticipated Joker sequel. Last week she showcased another daring look at the film’s UK premiere: a burgundy red, chin-length bob paired with choppy micro bangs that added a playful edge.
Her avant-garde makeup was another homage to her chaotic character, Harley Quinn: It included smudged, turquoise blue eyeshadow along with a glittery tearlike design under her right eye.

Even though we’ve been seeing a lot of Gaga (and her one-of-a-kind style) lately, the “Bad Romance” singer tried to stay out of the spotlight while preparing for the role. After a brief social media break last year, she shared an update with her followers about “experiencing my creativity ever since last summer in a really special and private way.”
“I can say for the first time in many years that my love of making art, music, fashion, and supporting community has never been more fulfilling,” she wrote on Instagram in June 2023. “I may not be sharing as much of myself online as I have in the past, but I hope you know this time to myself has been extremely healing and recharging for my heart, mind, body, and creativity—to create within myself and to have a personal life that’s just for me.”
