Lionsgate has been teasing something very mysterious lately and the world is literally losing its mind. The studio released a short clip that read, “The stage is set. #EverythingsGoingtobeGreat – NOW PLAYING in Select Theaters.” The clip, a potpourri of hopeful gossip and bonkers banter, had the speaker disparagingly refer to theaters and businesses, then suddenly veer into a tirade about dreaming things into existence, only to casually toss in a joke about arthritis. Very Lionsgate stuff, really.

Lionsgate said very little about the featurette, but, for once, the comment section was going wild. One user claiming to be on the crew demanded: “Where can we watch this!?! Asking on behalf of the entire crew that shot this and has been dying to see it.” A serious hardcore fan or one of the crew that genuinely wants to see it and can’t stand the wait? In either case, Lionsgate might want to look into that.
Others were just getting more excited about the cast: “two of my favorite actors ever” was one comment. No names, but pure excitement. Another said they haven’t seen it yet but that it “looks great.” Another, meanwhile, went full poetic: “Buddy is chaos wrapped in kindness. You give him a soul so tender, we don’t watch him, we feel him.” Deep. Very deep.
Then there was the person who said it is one of the best they have seen this year so far! A bit over-the-top since we have no idea what movie is being talked about here. Unless they have entirely another thing in mind… and that would be very awkward.
The most relatable remark was, “Yes!! Finally something I want to leave my house to see!” Because really, in the last couple of years, any new information that gets people on their feet is worth celebration.
Lionsgate is deliberately trying to kill the rumor mill, only fueling the mystery and buzz around it. Whatever this ends up being, a killer indie movie or a big-budget surprise, the world obviously wants it. Now, if only they would disclose it.

Something is out there; if the reactions say anything, then this may just be worth the hype or good enough to get people out of their houses. Maybe.
