Now that the new Sanrio Razer Cinnamoroll collection is out, things like the Kraken V4 X wired gaming headset and Ornata V3 Tenkeyless keyboard are at Target. It’s basically pairing two of the more popular and well-known peripherals from the company with new colorways for people who might want those types of quality items, but with more custom designs. And I can definitely say after using both, that they are a fantastic keyboard and great headset. But what surprised me most is the little extra details referencing the character that you only notice after using the two for a while.
To start, these are the base Razer Kraken V4 X headset and Ornata V3 Tenkeyless keyboard with a different customization option and the typical RGB lighting, and the Cinnamoroll elements are entirely cosmetic. The headset still has 20Hz to 20kHz response, the 40 mm Razer TriForce drivers,and supports 7.1 surround sound on Windows. It has the typical memory foam cushions and padding on the headband, and the controls for volume and mute are on the earcup and not inline. The retractable mic is the HyperClear option that covers 100Hz to 10kHz and is built into the left earcup. The keyboard is a standard model with no number pad with Razer’s Mecha-Membrane Switches, UV-coated keycaps, and programmable keys. There’s also the optional wrist rest and stands in the bottom you can pop out to angle it to your liking.
Both work really well! I’ve been primarily using the Cinnamoroll keyboard for work, not gaming, and the headset for socializing and listening to music. The keyboard is very responsive and great for extended use. So if you’re at it for an eight-hour workday, it’s great. With the headset, I’ve been using it with my Switch when it’s docked, my tablet, and my Mac. In all three instances, it’s been working perfectly. It’s crisp. It’s clear. Everyone heard me without any issue. My music and conversations sounded great.
Which means what really makes these items stand out are the aesthetics. And I appreciate them a lot. I work remotely, so I wasn’t using the Cinnamoroll Ornata V3 Tenkeyless keyboard in a professional setting where a lot of people would see the pupper. At a glance, it looks like a powder blue background with standard white keys. Aside from the darker cyan Cinnamoroll logo across the space bar and Razer logo below it, it seems very casual and cozy. There are a few white cloud designs above the directional keys, but that’s very subtle. However, if you do use the included optional arm and wrist rest, that has Cinnamoroll in a unique, happy position sitting among a ton of clouds. Said clouds match the ones on the keyboard itself, for a sense of consistency. I appreciate the aesthetic and vibe, and it feels like there was a sense of care put into making it look like something you could use at work and not stand out, but then use the add-on for extra ambiance.
The Razer Cinnamoroll Kraken V4 X headset is the more decked out of the two accessories and I get it. This is the item that would be used more casually. You might be wearing it on camera or in public. It’s about calling attention to that. I also liked how while it feels like it is designed to show off, there is the “secret” to it too. The band features Cinnamoroll floating among the clouds. It’s an entirely different pose from the arm rest included with the keyboard, which I appreciate. Especially since the Logitech Genshin Impact mice used existing HoYoVerse art. The color scheme matches the keyboard, for consistency, but is also a neutral color that works with using it alone anywhere at any time. The memory foam earcup and headband fabric has a great texture to it and matching powder blue color, which I loved too. But the hidden, white Cinnamoroll outlines on the inside of each earcuff is what I loved most. It’s another, third design of the puppy in a more casual position, and it’s a really cute detail.
There are in addition to the other practical touches we come to appreciate and expect from Razer. For example, the Cinnamoroll Kraken V4 X headset comes with additional compatibility built into it. It is a USB-C plug with a USB-A adapter. Which honestly, I admittedly have stolen to work with some other cords thanks to its small size and versatility. The mic retracts, but even when extended has this stable support that allows you to arrange it into the proper position and know it will stay there. The underside of the keyboard has built-in “wells” with clasps to hold the cord in place to keep it from affecting the pitch of the peripheral. That cord is also braided and protected, which is another appreciated perk.
I’d say the Razer Cinnamoroll Kraken V4 X wired gaming headset and Ornata V3 Tenkeyless keyboard are a mix of quality peripherals that are also aesthetically pleasing. There are a lot of details, both cosmetic and practical, that make them appealing. The keyboard is handled in a way that makes it still seem professional, even with the whimsical elements. As for the headset, it’s quite fashionable, so it stands out more and can be more of a versatile accessory for use indoors while working or gaming and outside.
