An unofficial Steam Frame tool now reports success with several older Quest games it previously listed as unable to run. FramePort’s experimental 32-bit bridge, released on October 15, has changed the project’s status for Journey of the Gods, Shadow Point and Sports Scramble, according to its own game catalog.
For Journey of the Gods and Shadow Point, the project notes that each “plays in the headset.” These are the project’s test reports, not Valve compatibility ratings or a guarantee that every version of every Quest game will run.
FramePort is independent software, not a Valve or Meta product, and players must provide their own legally obtained game files. It prepares compatible Quest software for the Steam Frame using translation and game-specific patches.

A 32-bit bridge targets an older compatibility barrier
When MIXED first covered FramePort in early October, the project marked all three titles as not running because they used 32-bit software. Its October 15 release notes describe an experimental bridge for older 32-bit Gear VR, Oculus Go and Quest games.
The current project catalog marks Journey of the Gods and Shadow Point as working and says they were played in the headset. Its Sports Scramble entry also describes working Touch-controller inputs, while warning that the first start can show a jittery optimisation screen before restarting the game.
Those entries refer to specific tested builds, and compatibility can change. The project says a launch test can show that an app starts, but an actual headset is needed to see whether it looks right. Older apps that rely on particular online or licensing services can still fail.
Recent updates add backups and an experimental room setup
Since the original report, FramePort has added save backups, per-game settings and an experimental Room interface intended to help mixed-reality games understand the user’s surroundings. Its October 25 release also pauses games before closing them, which the developer says helps preserve saves written when a game pauses.
The same release adds support for several split-app bundle formats and lists game-specific fixes. FramePort’s developer advises Windows users who cannot start it after updating from version 1.3.0 to unpack the new Windows release into an empty folder; existing games and settings are kept.
The compatibility guide distinguishes running converted Quest games on the Frame from streaming a PC VR game. It also lists unsupported categories, including apps that require an Oculus-app licence check. Owners should check the specific game and current project notes before transferring anything.
