When she joined the show Young Sheldon in 2022, she was 30 years old while Jordan was just 18, which shows an age gap of 12 years.
She made it clear that her main concern was not kissing someone whom she had recently met, but the main problem was Montana’s age at that time.
She mentioned, “My discomfort was because he was 18. He was a baby! A baby with a mullet.”
Osment even raised the issue with the producer, Tim Marx. He said it was not possible to arrange an intimacy coordinator on the same day, but for the later episodes, a coordinator was present as the relationship between Mandu and Georgie grew more intimate.

No, the book doesn’t contain any such details, and Emily has not reported any incident of that kind either. Rather, she referred to him as such a sweet kid. Alex Reid, the director of the show, stated that failing to arrange an intimacy coordinator sooner was a huge mistake. Steve Molara, the co-creator of the series, said he honored Emily’s request, saying she was fully entitled to ask for it. He further noted that after a few episodes, she grew comfortable without one.
What is the Role of an Intimacy Coordinator?
The main job of an intimacy coordinator is to help actors and actresses film romantic and physically intimate scenes without them experiencing any discomfort. Their role includes choreographing kisses or other intimate scenes, discussing boundaries, and ensuring that both performers can comfortably raise concerns.
