Mintrocket has officially launched the latest expansion for DAVE THE DIVER, titled In the Jungle, now available across PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2. The new DLC sees Dave stepping away from the ocean and diving into an entirely new freshwater ecosystem filled with unfamiliar creatures, new challenges, and expanded story content.
Known for blending deep-sea exploration with restaurant management gameplay, DAVE THE DIVER takes a bold new direction with this expansion, introducing jungle lakes, ancient underwater ruins, and a fresh cast of characters to interact with.

A Freshwater Twist on a Beloved Formula
In In the Jungle, players trade scuba gear for a new environment that completely changes the tone and gameplay loop. Dave finds himself navigating a vast jungle lake ecosystem, uncovering hidden dangers and new resources while helping the local community adapt to his arrival.
The expansion introduces around 10 hours of new story content, featuring new missions, mechanics, and exploration opportunities that build on the foundation of the base game while shifting into a more tropical, freshwater-focused setting.
Along the way, players will meet locals, assist familiar allies, and discover that the jungle holds far more secrets than it initially appears to reveal.
Bancho Grill Brings a New Culinary Experience
One of the biggest changes in the expansion comes in the form of a brand-new restaurant experience. Chef Bancho returns, but this time he’s stepping away from sushi to embrace an entirely new culinary direction.
Bancho Grill replaces seafood-focused dishes with grilled freshwater ingredients, offering a fresh take on the series’ restaurant management gameplay. Players will continue to build relationships with villagers and customers while expanding their reputation as they serve up new jungle-inspired meals.
A Living Jungle Filled With Secrets
The new environment introduces a wide range of gameplay opportunities, from encountering exotic aquatic life to uncovering ancient underwater civilisations hidden beneath the jungle lake.
Players will explore mysterious temples, dense forest areas, and uncharted regions that expand the world of DAVE THE DIVER beyond its ocean-based origins. Each area introduces new mechanics and discoveries, encouraging exploration and experimentation.
The jungle setting also brings new narrative threads, as Dave assists villagers who are initially cautious of outsiders. Through exploration, gifts, and cooking, players gradually earn trust and unlock deeper connections within the community.
More Than Just New Waters
According to Mintrocket, the expansion is designed to offer more than a simple change of scenery. The jungle region introduces new systems, mechanics, and storytelling elements that expand the scope of the game while maintaining its signature mix of humour, charm, and survival gameplay.
Players also have the option to access the DLC directly after completing the base game, or jump straight into the new content for a standalone experience.
Live-Action Short Film Celebrates Launch
To mark the release of In the Jungle, Mintrocket has also released a full-length live-action short film inspired by the expansion. Produced in collaboration with The Asylum, the film adds a humorous and cinematic spin on Dave’s latest adventure, further expanding the game’s playful tone beyond interactive gameplay.
Physical Editions and Collector’s Release
Alongside the digital launch, publisher Silver Lining Direct has announced physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. The Complete Edition includes the base game along with all DLC content released to date, including In the Jungle.
For collectors, a special edition bundle is also available, featuring a range of physical extras such as acrylic standees, metal pins, keyrings, postcards, and more, alongside the full boxed game.
Both editions are available for pre-order and will be distributed worldwide through participating retailers.
