Kai Cenat’s Streamer University auditions turned into a crowd-control problem in Atlanta after venue plans collapsed, hopeful creators still showed up, and police made multiple arrests tied to gatherings around the event.
The Twitch star had planned to hold in-person auditions in Atlanta on Tuesday, June 16, as part of the 2026 round of Streamer University applications.
The event was first tied to the Summerhill area near Hank Aaron Drive, but FOX 5 Atlanta reported that organizers relocated the auditions after early crowds led to pushing, shoving and other disruptions.
Atlanta police had already warned that Streamer University would not take place at 450 Hank Aaron Drive. Cenat later told fans the Tuesday event was canceled, but the cancellation did not stop people from gathering near the area hoping to audition, make content or find out where the event would move next.
The Atlanta Auditions Were Postponed Before They Began
The original Atlanta plan fell apart after host venues backed out, according to local coverage. FOX 5 said the auditions were originally scheduled earlier in the week at a different location before being moved to State Farm Arena for a more controlled setup.
Some had traveled from outside Atlanta for a chance to get into Streamer University, and the crowds grew around the canceled Summerhill-area location even after officials said the auditions would not happen there.
FOX 5 reported that Atlanta police made seven arrests during two unpermitted gatherings connected to the event on June 15 and June 16. The charges included obstruction, disorderly conduct, simple assault, simple battery on a law enforcement officer, possession of a controlled substance and concealing one’s identity with a mask.
The State Farm Arena Move Still Drew Thousands
Cenat’s team later moved the auditions to State Farm Arena on Wednesday, June 17. That solved the location issue, but not the scale problem.
FOX 5 reported that thousands of people packed the area outside the arena Wednesday morning, with police and other law enforcement agencies responding as lines built around the venue. Officials allowed attendees in limited groups, about 200 at a time, but the crowd kept growing before the auditions were stopped.
State Farm Arena told FOX 5 that the large turnout created safety concerns and that auditions had been stopped. Atlanta police said shortly after 2 p.m. that the event had officially concluded, with no significant public-safety incidents reported during the State Farm Arena portion.
Streamer University’s Popularity Has Become a Logistical Challenge
Streamer University is Cenat’s creator-training project for aspiring and growing online personalities. Complex reported that 2026 applicants can apply as students, professors or club directors, with applicants required to be at least 18 and authorized to travel within or to the United States for event dates.
Complex said applicants are asked to submit a one-to-three-minute video showing their personality, content style and reasons for wanting to attend, with selection based on creativity and potential rather than follower count alone.
