After seeing the performance of the movie, it’s likely that the studio was convinced that the format would be a lot more profitable. So, ufotable decided to continue making more movies. The studio could split the movies into several episodes, giving fans another way to enjoy it. New Demon Slayer Season Would Fix Many Things
This is mere conjecture at this point, but there is a genuine possibility that it could happen. One might ask why the studio would feel the need to create the anime-exclusive content, and there are actually two good reasons— first is improved pacing, and the second is expanding on certain things that felt rushed in the manga. For instance, the reveal surrounding Inosuke and Doma felt very sudden in the manga. It was supposed to have a bigger impact, but that’s not been the case. The manga could not expand on the story, causing the reveal to be underwhelming, but a few anime-only scenes could change that.
Another thing that could be covered in the anime-exclusive content would be the post-climax scenes of the war between Muzan and the Hashira. Most of the time, whenever a major manga reaches its conclusion, there is great focus on the aftermath of the big war that changed the world forever. Unfortunately, in the case of Demon Slayer, things are a bit different. For one reason or another, Gotouge did not pay much attention to it, which left a sour taste in the mouths of fans. However, this is not completely unfixable, especially if ufotable releases a television series of the Infinity Castle Saga.

It is aware of the fact that, in this age of competition, taking too long to release new content puts Demon Slayer’s popularity in jeopardy. Every month, new anime are announced, which makes the competition for the spotlight even harder. 2030 is still far away, but most people are fine with waiting as long as ufotable keeps the same quality for the remainder of the two movies.
