A Fallout tabletop skirmish is headed to Xreal Aura, giving owners of the Android XR glasses a way to command digital miniatures over a physical table. Fallout: Factions is a turn-based player-versus-player adaptation of the Modiphius Entertainment tabletop game, developed by Mirrorscape.
The project is a tactics game set around Nuka-World rather than a new mainline Fallout RPG. Mirrorscape’s game site also lists a Steam version as coming soon, but does not specify a release date or whether that version supports VR.
Google named Fallout: Factions among experiences coming with Aura in its October 28 launch announcement for the glasses. Mirrorscape previously described it as an Aura launch title, while Xreal says US shipments are expected to begin in mid-November on a rolling basis.

Players move digital miniatures across their own table
Mirrorscape describes a mixed-reality battlefield in which players choose a crew, move units and attack with weapons ranging from bats to shotguns. Combat uses dice, and the site lists the Operators, the Pack and the Disciples as factions with different approaches.
Players can look down on the battle or see the environment from a crew member’s point of view, according to the developer. Its Aura announcement describes using hand tracking to move pieces, measure distances and roll digital dice.
The game adapts a physical tabletop system rather than turning Fallout 4 into a holographic role-playing adventure. Players looking for a traditional exploration-heavy Fallout should understand the focus on shorter tactical encounters against another player.

A Steam version is listed, but its details are limited
The developer says the game is coming to Aura and Android XR and lists Steam separately as “coming soon.” The available information does not specify a date for Steam, its input options or whether it will run on Steam Frame.
Likewise, players should check the relevant store listing and device requirements before buying or making plans around a particular headset. Availability and pricing were not independently confirmed for every Android XR device.
For Aura owners, the appeal is the combination of a tabletop view and the ability to see the room around the game. That comes from the glasses’ transparent optical design, which differs from a fully enclosed VR headset’s camera passthrough.
