How to Play Reverse Chicken Race in Meccha Chameleon
In Reverse Chicken Race, everyone hides, and everyone hunts. In the beginning, each player will have time to hide and paint themselves. After the time is up, everyone will be brought into a display room where one player’s paint job is revealed while they sit on a pedestal to be observed.
When the observation time is up, all the other players go into the map to try and find the location of the player whose paint was revealed. The person who was revealed gets to watch the map in Free Camera mode. The first person to find the hider gets Missed Spot Ranking points. This repeats until all players have been hunted for.
Tips To Win Reverse Chicken Race in Meccha Chameleon
The player with the most Missed Spot Ranking points at the end of the match is the player who wins. When playing this mode, there are a few things you can keep in mind to give you a leg up on gathering the most points:
Use Clones to Gather Points
You can use clones in this mode, and it might be the best strategy. The first two versions of yourself that you make are not brought into the display room; only the most recently painted version is.
If you make your clones as we would advise, they will still be well hidden and get some Missed Spot Ranking points. Typically, players will spend a lot of time looking for the exposed paint job since they know what to look for on that one. You get points for your main body and clones being in the other players’ line of sight without being caught!
Look For Clones if They Are in Use
When you are the hunter, you get 500 points for finding the hider. (It was 1,000 points but was decreased in Update 2.4.1.) The best thing you can do as a hunter in this mode is not to get too fixated on the one paint job displayed. If your group is using clones, look for all versions like normal.
Keep Your Paint and Pose Minimal
When using clones, you will want to make your final pose have as little detail as possible, both in paint and pose. The more you do to your final body, the more you can give away about where you are. If your paint job looks a lot like your surroundings, then it will give far too many hints as to where you’ve tried to hide.
Keeping your paint job minimal and making your pose something that doesn’t help them recognize the object you’re hiding will keep you hidden longer.
You may also want to be sure you’ve painted all sides of you, so your blank spots don’t reveal where you’re located.
