Square Enix released a new batch of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined screenshots, and many of them offer near 1:1 comparisons showing how the remake recreates moments from the original game and 3DS release. There are also a number that highlight characters we’ll journey alongside in the JRPG.

This marks the fourth time we’ll see a release of this installment on a new platform. It originally debuted on the PlayStation. Then 13 years after that, a 3DS remake appeared. Two years after that, it showed up on mobile devices in Japan.
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined will come to the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on February 5, 2026. It is also on the PS1 and 3DS worldwide.
