Well, the first season of the upcoming prequel series will be based on The Hedge Knight, which is set around 90 years before the events of Game of Thrones. When you compare it to House of the Dragon, AKOTSK is set roughly 75-78 years after the event that we all know as the Dance of the Dragons.

The story of A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms is set in an era ruled by Aerys I Targaryen. This is one of the most peaceful times in the history of Westeros, which makes it perfect for Ser Duncan the Tall to carry on his adventures and change his fortunes. The fact that it is a peaceful era set after the Dance of the Dragons means that there will be no dragons.
