Wooster Games added a Factory map to Animal Company on September 23, and two of the areas it listed in the same update came locked. The studio’s notes for version 1.92.0 mark an “Energy Laboratory (LOCKED until next week)” and a “Canopy Ballistics Assembly (LOCKED until next week)”.

The same notes name the Factory itself, a “Prototype Testing Grounds” and an “Overgrown… L3”, none of them carrying that tag. “Next week” is the only timing Wooster Games gives for the locked pair, and it has posted nothing on the game’s Steam feed since September 24 to say they are open.
Animal Company is a VR-only co-op game, $19.99 in the US, and it has been on Steam since May 21.
The Factory boss drops a Rebar Gun and a Precision Rifle
The new map comes with a boss and a warning written in the voice of the game’s fictional employer: “Explore at your own risk. Canopy will not be held liable for potential injuries.” The boss is the Deadeye, and Wooster Games lists three new drops from it, an Ammo Pouch, a Rebar Gun and a Precision Rifle.
The week’s challenges are built around the same three things: explore the Factory, defeat five Deadeyes and find one Ammo Pouch. A separate Factory Challenge pays out three map-exclusive hats.
There are also three new fast-travel CanopyCards. One is hidden somewhere in the Factory and does not stay put, moving to one of 21 possible spots in every room code a player joins, while another comes from beating the Subway Tunnels train chase boss and claiming a card at the lava station.
Five cosmetic sets landed with the map, named Hypebeast, Jadehype, Hypeamber, Firehype and Ghosthype, alongside a Future ops Bundle that packages an outfit, a headband, a chainsaw and 2,000 Company Coins.

Three hotfixes followed inside a day
Wooster Games shipped version 1.92.1 about four hours after the update, fixing “an issue where the Factory Arena progress was not being saved” and applying a “Small nerf to the damage dealt by Deadeye Boss’s player-tracking attacks”.
Version 1.92.2 arrived early on September 24 and fixed “an issue where the Deadeye boss can sometimes get stuck into a T-Pose forever”. Version 1.92.3, later the same day, lists “Minor improvements to the Precision Rifle and Chainsaw”.
All three are the studio’s own notes, and all three concern the Factory or its boss rather than the locked areas.
Wooster Games has not named the unlock day
Labelling the two areas as locked beats letting players find two closed doors and guess, and the studio presents the staggered opening as the plan rather than an accident. It has not given a day for it, so anyone chasing the whole map is watching the game’s Steam feed.
Ten more VR games and updates were lined up for Quest and Steam before October. The Factory is open, and two of its rooms are still on the studio’s own schedule.
