September 23, 2026 – Meta has today announced at Meta Connect 2026 that it is working on bringing its Muse personal AI agent to its AI glasses. The company also introduced what it calls “significant” updates to its glasses, including a hearing enhancement feature.
How will Muse work on Meta’s AI glasses
Released earlier this month, Muse is a personal AI agent that gets to know its user and helps them get things done across their phone, computer, and the web, according to Meta.
From their glasses, users can ask Muse to guide a personalized workout, log meals, get nutrition insights on demand, and help buy products they see. Meta stated that the agent can also book an appointment, get prices on a flight, or track down a missing part while the user is driving, cooking, or mid-run, without pulling out a phone. Users can activate Muse by saying its name and telling it their request. The agent will then work in the background and check back when it is done.
What else is coming to Meta’s AI glasses
According to the company, its AI glasses are “the first consumer device that enables users to capture and experience videos in Dolby Atmos.” The feature, Dolby Atmos Capture, captures moments in 360° spatial sound.
Hearing enhancement, software cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is also coming to supported AI glasses. Meta noted that the feature helps adults with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss hear better, and that it can be set up at home in minutes with no clinic or prescription needed.
Launching in the United States later this year, hearing enhancement will be available to add to supported glasses for USD $149.99, or with a Meta One subscription. The company added that the feature is also eligible for health savings account (HSA) and flexible spending account (FSA) reimbursement.
Other updates detailed by the company include:
- Dynamic Photo, which automatically snaps multiple frames with each photo. Meta AI can suggest the best frame, or users can choose their favorite.
- Landscape Crop Mode, which lets users choose whether every capture, including photos, dynamic photos, videos, hyperlapse, and slo-mo, comes out horizontal rather than portrait.
- Private Processing, which is intended to deliver AI experiences without anyone, including Meta, seeing user data.
- Improved Detailed Responses, upgrades to Meta AI’s visual understanding that deliver richer answers when users ask their glasses what they are looking at, with feedback taken from the blind and low-vision community.
- Customizable Controls, which let users customize the touchpad press-and-hold on the temple of their glasses to instantly launch a key feature, such as placing a call or opening an app.
