Most armor pieces and items in Deltarune come with descriptions that clearly explain what they do or at least hint at their purpose. The Mannequin, however, is a bit different.
Its description is intentionally vague, which can leave players wondering whether it has a hidden use, should be equipped on a specific party member, or is simply a joke item. Worry not, as this guide covers everything you need to know about the Mannequin in Deltarune Chapter 2.

Where to Find the Mannequin in Deltarune Chapter 2
Look For the Addisons!
After progressing through the opening sections of the chapter, Kris will eventually separate from Ralsei and Susie. Shortly afterward, Noelle joins the party and accompanies you through Cyber City.
As you make your way through the area, you will encounter several traffic puzzles and mouse sections before eventually reaching your first Addison room. Continue progressing through the story until you reach the Music Shop save point. Shortly after this is the second Addison room.
In this room, head all the way to the right side to find a yellow Addison standing outside a clothing store. This vendor sells a single item: the Mannequin.
You can purchase the Mannequin for 300 Dark Dollars. Interestingly, its description claims that it is useless, while its effect is simply listed as “???”, making it one of the more mysterious armor pieces in the game.
What Does the Mannequin Do in Deltarune?
The Mannequin’s main purpose is tied to encounters with Spamton and Spamton NEO, the latter being Chapter 2’s Secret Boss and the source of a Shadow Crystal.
When equipped during either Spamton fight, the Mannequin reduces the damage taken from many of their attacks. While it will not trivialize the encounter, it can make the battles noticeably more manageable and give players additional room for error while learning attack patterns.
One important thing to keep in mind is that the Mannequin is missable. After separating from Noelle and reuniting with the main party, you can no longer return and purchase it, even if you backtrack to the area later.
Additionally, players following the Weird Route, also known as the Snowgrave Route, cannot purchase the Mannequin at all, making a normal route playthrough the only way to obtain this armor piece.
