Square Enix didn’t announce who will join Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy after Clive and Rikku, but it did confirm six abilities will be buffed before May 2026 ends. The company named all the ones that will be changed, but didn’t explain how. It did, however, mention that 10 Draw Tickets will be sent to each player to make up for those skills not behaving as they should ahead of the planned maintenance.
Here’s the full list of all the abilities that will be adjusted, as well as details about them as of time of writing. Pretty much all of them are specific to certain characters. So if you haven’t been using that unit or gotten the skill from the gacha, you might not have even noticed any issue with the way it works. The two most affected characters are Lightning from FFXIII and Zidane from FFIX, as each one has one SR and one UR that will be adjusted after the patch.
- SR Finishing Touch: Cloud AOE attack ability that launches foes.
- SR Grav-con Unit: Lightning buff that increases her action speed for a brief period of time.
- SR Sleight of Hand: Zidane AOE ability that can steal Bravery from anyone who isn’t shielded or in the midst of a Burst.
- UR Gachirin: Iroha AOE attack that allows her to temporarily teleport forward to assault and can combo if she has other skills not on cooldown. She’s temporarily invincible when she uses it.
- UR Grand Lethal: Zidane AOE attack. He’s temporarily invincible when he uses it.
- UR Thunderfall: Lightning AOE attack. She’s temporarily invincible when she uses it.
Prior to this update, another maintenance period will be held on May 7, 2026. One of the biggest fixes here will address a bug that is keeping people from performing a Burst or using some abilities to attack bosses. After that change, we’ll also only see King Behemoth show up after someone gets past Gold into Diamond.
Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy is available for mobile devices, and the three SR and UR abilities will be buffed in late May 2026.
