September 29, 2025 – HMS Co., Ltd., a Japanese company that specializes in AI image recognition technology for edge computing, recently unveiled its new SiNGRAY G2 augmented reality (AR) glasses, designed for enterprise and industrial use. The device was demonstrated in the U.S. last week at the Augmented Enterprise Summit (AES) in Dallas, Texas.
The SiNGRAY G2 is built for hands-free operation and remote collaboration. It offers functionality such as viewing digital work instructions and assembly procedures overlaid directly in the user’s field of view, enabling step-by-step training or guided maintenance without interrupting tasks. The glasses also support live video sharing, allowing remote colleagues to see what the wearer sees and provide real-time support.
According to HMS, the headset features a BirdBath optical system with a resolution of 1920×1200 at 90Hz and a measured field of view of 51 degrees (51° diagonal, 45° horizontal, 28° vertical). The device is powered by Qualcomm’s QCS8550 (8Gen2) chipset, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Additional components include Intel’s Movidius Myriad X vision processor, a stereo VSLAM fisheye camera, a 13-megapixel RGB camera, a depth ToF sensor, and a 9-axis IMU. The device supports 6DoF and 3DoF tracking at 1,000Hz, offers IP65 dust and water resistance, and includes a hot-swappable 4,800mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS+BDS, USB-C, and DP 1.4.
HMS is promoting the G2 for a range of enterprise verticals including manufacturing, construction, logistics, and healthcare. The glasses support OpenXR SDK and Unity’s AR Foundation, and a marketplace is available for additional applications.
At AES, HMS showcased the SiNGRAY G2 in collaboration with frontline.io and Qualcomm Technologies. The companies demonstrated the headset’s industrial XR capabilities using the frontline.io platform, which can handle digital twins with more than 200,000 parts and convert CAD files into interactive models in under 10 minutes. According to frontline.io, this enables enterprises to create immersive 3D manuals and training workflows.
