HoYoVerse’s Genshin Impact Luna VI Special Program aired today and confirmed the debut date for the update, new character Linnea, and new Monstadt region locations. Everything arrives with the new patch on April 8, 2026. Also, as usual, the news was accompanied by three codes for Primogems and extra items. This time around, those are LinneaClassTime, TempleofSpace, and Scaleblade.
The story is continuing from everything we’ve learned in Nod-Krai and leading up to Snezhnaya adventures. As such, we’ll meet Linnea and head to the Temple of Space that is above Dornman Port and Mondstadt. It might mean we’ll finally learn more about the Ruler of Space Asmoday, the person we all saw at the very start of the game separate the Traveler siblings Aether and Lumine. It also means the first act of the Alcyon Chapter side story starring Linnea.
As for Linnea, the new Geo archer will be available the moment the patch is live. She’ll be one of the two Phase 1 banners. Chasca’s rerun banner will be the other. In Phase 2, Lauma and Nefer will both be back. A Chronicled Wish banner update will appear too, and that will feature Clorinde, Emilie, Lyney, Navia, and Sigewinne on it.

In the meantime, people can still catch two rerun banners before the new version patch launches. Both Escoffier and Skirk are still around. Both of them are Cryo characters, but they fill different roles in a party. You’d use Skirk as a main DPS and have her deal damage with her sword, while Escoffier would be a sub-DPS who would help with dealing damage with her Elemental Skill and effects or heal with her Burst.
Genshin Impact is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and the Luna VI update with the Temple of Space location and Linnea debut kicks off on April 8, 2026.
