With the height of summer almost here, and the weather looking good (for most of us at least), it’s no surprise that the hottest news so far is that of Pokémon Go’s upcoming July Community Day. Bringing folks together with guaranteed Pokémon appearances, this event, set to take place on Sunday, July 20th, has plenty of details you should know going in.
First off, the featured Pokémon. This time around, it’s none other than Quaxly who’ll be making much more frequent appearances in the wild, with a chance to encounter that all-important Shiny Quaxly too.
If you’re focused on evolving Quaxly too, and manage to evolve Quaxwell into Quaquaval, then you’ll also be able to gain the Charged Attack Hydro Cannon as a special ability with 80 Power in Trainer Battles and 90 Power in Gyms & Raids. Meanwhile, Quaquaval as a whole will now be able to learn the Charged Attack Aqua Step.
If it Quaxlys like a duck
For fans looking to develop Quaxly, this is the perfect opportunity to do so, offering not just further encounters but ways to upgrade with two new attacks. And even if you’ve got more Quaxly than you know what to do with, don’t sit in a huff because there’s plenty of other bonuses on offer.
Be it the Community Day Special Background Timed Research or Field Research, x3 Stardust, x2 Candy for catching Pokémon, and trades requiring 50% less Stardust, there are plenty of great bonuses and reasons to get out there into the sun and check out the July Community Day event.
