Nicholas Leung, the English voice actor for Dan Heng, announced via social media that he will return to voice the character in Honkai: Star Rail. The character has been silent in recent patches and missions. His announcement didn’t mention an exact return date, so it is unknown if we could end up heading his voice again during the 3.4 Trailblaze Missions.
Leung’s statement featured photos of the actor with plush toys of Dan Heng and Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae. (He voices both versions of the Astral Express member.) He thanked HoYoVerse and his fans. He also confirmed he’s back in the studio recording lines for the character, including ones from past updates.

It’s unknown if we’ll start hearing other familiar voice actors and actresses in Honkai: Star Rail again alongside the return of Nicholas Leung as Dang Heng. Cia Court (Himeko), Caleb Yen (Caelus), Rachael Chau (Stelle), and Cheryl Texiera (Kafka) were among the voices we stopped hearing or saw recast during the 2024-2025 SAG-AFTRA strike. We also saw it affect other HoYoVerse games, such as Zenless Zone Zero.
Honkai: Star Rail is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the 3.4 update arrives on July 2, 2025.
