Solo Leveling is officially making a grand comeback after Season 2 with a new movie project. Titled Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, the new anime movie inspired by the hit fantasy series will pick up the events after the fourth Jeju Island raid, when Beru joined the shadow army.
The concept teaser released for the upcoming Solo Leveling movie has revealed some new details, including the story arcs it will potentially adapt. That said, Sung Jinwoo’s zero-to-hero journey will continue to unfold through these exciting story beats that will be covered in the Solo Leveling: Beyond the System film.
The Recruitment Arc Expands the World of Solo Leveling
The Recruitment Arc is one of the least action-packed storylines in Solo Leveling, yet it reveals crucial details behind Sung Jinwoo’s evolving dark powers, Hwang Dongsoo’s decision to join America’s leading hunter guild, Scavenger, and the concept of upgrading one’s magic ability, which was unheard of among Korea’s S-rank hunters. It goes without saying that new faces are set to appear in the Solo Leveling: Beyond the System movie.
Fresh from clearing the S-class dungeon break on Jeju Island, Sung Jinwoo is scouted by international guilds coming from different parts of the world. Clearly, Jinwoo is the man of the hour, and almost every country in the world wants to exploit his powerful abilities. To prevent Jinwoo from migrating to another country, the Korean Hunters Association’s Go Gunhee would stop at nothing to keep him in Korea, even if it meant bending the rules.
The Ahjin Guild Arc Brings Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In Closer Than Ever
The Ahjin Guild Arc will be a crucial story arc in both Sung Jinwoo’s and Cha Hae-In’s hunter careers in Solo Leveling. In the final episode of Solo Leveling Season 2, Sung Jinwoo revealed his intention to establish his own hunter guild during a conversation with the chairman of the KHA. That long-awaited plan is finally set to become a reality in Solo Leveling: Beyond the System.
Once Sung Jinwoo’s new guild is announced, Cha Hae-in, like many other hunters, would be eager to land a spot in the Ahjin Guild even if it meant leaving her high-paying role in Choi Jong-in’s Hunters Guild. Of course, getting into Jinwoo’s guild wouldn’t be easy, especially when the Shadow Monarch has no intention of accepting anyone with a burning desire to fight by his side.
In addition, the Ahjin Guild Arc will place Sung Jinwoo’s sister, Jinah, in grave danger while her brother is away. From the founding of the Ahjin Guild to intense new conflicts, the arc promises some of Solo Leveling‘s most exciting moments yet.

The Double Dungeon Arc Unlocks the Origins of the System
Without a doubt, the Double Dungeon Arc is one of the most long-awaited story arcs in Solo Leveling after Season 2. This action-packed arc primarily takes place in the Cartenon Temple, where the imposing Statue of God sits upon its throne while surrounded by a legion of merciless stone statues. This is the same place that traumatized Jinwoo and the surviving hunters of the Double Dungeon incident back in Season 1.
That said, the Double Dungeon Arc will be Sung Jinwoo’s only chance to redeem himself. That’s not all, as the Cartenon Temple hides crucial secrets about the System, Jinwoo’s powers, and the larger conflict that will soon threaten all humanity. By this stage of the story, Sung Jinwoo’s opponents are no longer ordinary magical beasts but far more powerful and mysterious foes.
The Japan Crisis Arc Marks Sung Jinwoo’s First International Mission
The concept teaser for Solo Leveling: Beyond the System movie showed several gates or portals seemingly appearing in different places around the world. This serves as one of the strongest hints that the new movie will adapt the Japan Crisis Arc. As its title suggests, the arc will place Japan at the heart of a major conflict, forcing Sung Jinwoo to hop on a plane and come to the country’s aid.
Speaking of Japan, Goto Ryuji’s death in Solo Leveling Season 2 plunged the nation into crisis. With its strongest hunters gone, Japan has little choice but to rely on foreign hunters, such as Sung Jinwoo, to neutralize the threat. The Japan Crisis Arc will be an exciting chapter in Sung Jinwoo’s story, featuring large-scale battles involving Jinwoo and his shadow army. On top of that, this arc will debut a mysterious new monarch who knows far more about Jinwoo than he realizes.
The International Guild Conference Arc Proves Sung Jinwoo Can Never Escape Conflict
As Sung Jinwoo’s power grows in Solo Leveling, his global presence also increases, making it only fitting for the Ahjin Guild’s founder to attend an international guild conference on behalf of Korea’s top guilds. This is the first time that Jinwoo will personally meet with some of the most influential figures in the series, including Liu Zhigang, who represents the strongest guild hailing from China.
Although the International Guild Conference Arc sounds like a peaceful diplomatic event, it quickly proves otherwise. With Sung Jinwoo involved, conflict is inevitable. Persistent enemies who want Jinwoo dead would stop at nothing to cause trouble for him and his friends, setting the stage for one of the biggest showdowns in the history of Solo Leveling that fans wouldn’t want to miss.
The Monarchs War Arc Could Give Solo Leveling: Beyond the System an Unforgettable Finale
The Solo Leveling: Beyond the System concept trailer strongly suggests that the Monarchs War Arc is also part of the upcoming adaptation. From the shot of Jinwoo’s shadow wyvern, Kaisel, soaring across the orange skies to Cha Hae-In’s appearance in her signature Monarchs War Arc outfit, the trailer is filled with clues pointing to this climactic arc.
The Monarchs War Arc would serve as the perfect grand finale for a movie adaptation. With heart-stopping battles featuring many of the strongest Solo Leveling characters fighting in one place, the Monarchs War Arc will offer nonstop action and drama.
