June 1, 2026 – Augmented reality (AR) technology provider XREAL has recently introduced xbx, a new glasses sub-brand, with the xbx a01 smart AR glasses now listed on the company’s website and on XREAL’s JD.com store page in China.
What are the features and functionality of XREAL’s xbx glasses?
XREAL describes the xbx a01 AR glasses as being built for viewing, gaming and AI-powered AR technology. According to the company, the device weighs 62 grams and features a 50-degree field of view, 1,600 nits peak brightness, HDR10 support, 120Hz refresh rate and 4K display support. XREAL also stated that the glasses provide a 147-inch equivalent screen at 4 meters, and include high-fidelity speakers.
The glasses include a custom display chip and XREAL’s ARView Image Engine, with support for real-time AI SDR-to-HDR conversion. XREAL stated that the a01 uses a proprietary spatial stabilization algorithm that tracks micro-movements to reduce jitter and keep the display centered as the user’s head moves. The product page lists 1,000 Hz head tracking, 120 fps spatial rendering and AI-powered motion prediction.
XREAL xbx a01 glasses design, fit and comfort
The glasses feature three front frame designs that allow users to change the look of the device. For fit and viewing comfort, the a01 includes what XREAL describes as “quad eye-care technology” across optics, hardware and software to safeguard users’ eye health. The company also stated that the glasses are certified by TÜV Rheinland with a triple authority rating and match the XREAL One series with a 5-star Eye Comfort certification. XREAL added that the nose pad positioning was optimized using data from more than 2,000 facial profiles.
The xbx a01 glasses will be available starting in July for under USD $300, according to a social media post from the company’s Global Head of Enterprise, Amir Khorram.
