In the case of the former, we simply don’t know. Toy Defense promising an update became something of an annual meme, with there being little activity in the Discord until the developer returned each new year to promise a meaningful update. Mid-2026 is when the long-awaited content drop, Wave 50, finally surfaced, bringing a few thousand nostalgic players back to the war.
As for the latter, we can only assume Roblox Toy Defense has little to do with the original Facebook social game series. With all three of Melesta Games’ titles being discontinued in 2021, not too long after a Toy Defense title appeared on Roblox, we don’t believe there’s an official link between the two.
