One-Punch Man is an action-comedy series that never runs out of powerful hero abilities, regardless of hero class. Even those B- and C-class heroes get unique abilities that turn even the most minor battles into entertaining ones. There’s no limit to how outrageous a hero’s ability can get, from city-shattering techniques to hilariously absurd skills.
One Punch Man: Why Fights Sometimes Take More Than One Punch
Despite a simple promise, the show has necessarily outgrown its premise into something more than its original punchline.
Perhaps the most outrageous of them all is Saitama’s signature one-punch that can end any battle in an instant or even destroy a colossal meteor into pieces. Of course, Saitama isn’t the only powerful hero in One-Punch Man, as there are others gifted with powerful hero abilities that allow them to defeat monsters in the most effective and efficient way possible.
Flash Slash
Speed is the number one weapon of the S-class hero, Flashy Flash. He is one of the fastest characters in One-Punch Man, capable of killing his opponents even before they can react. Few characters can match Flashy Flash’s speed, as even the fastest opponents struggle to keep up with his incredible reflexes and movements.
Speed is the number one requirement for Flashy Flash to perform Flash Slash. It’s a high-speed sword technique that can slice an opponent cleanly in two. Even Gale Wind and Hellfire Flame, both dragon-level monsters, couldn’t keep up with this amazing sword technique.
Superhuman Digestion
Pig God is one of the most terrifying S-class heroes in the series, mostly due to his monstrous ability that allows him to devour even the most enormous monsters in just one bite. Watching him consume a monster is like witnessing a scene ripped from a horror anime instead of an action-comedy series, making him appear more terrifying and unforgettable.
The main reason why Pig God can consume even large monsters like The Great Food Tub is his superhuman digestion. He can devour and process anything, from monsters to humans to lethal toxins, with his subcutaneous fat cushioning every blow.
Tactical Transformation
It’s difficult to fight an opponent like Drive Knight, whose adaptability makes him unpredictable in battle. He is also smart and cunning, forcing enemies to rethink their approach on the fly.
What makes Drive Knight so dangerous is his Tactical Transformation, which enables him to switch forms in the blink of an eye. From Chariot to Bishop to Gold Knight, he switches forms strategically, using each one whenever it offers an advantage in battle. Fighting him feels like fighting different opponents at once, as his different forms offer distinct abilities.
Incineration Cannon
This list wouldn’t be complete without Genos’ ever-evolving incineration cannon. Thanks to Dr. Kuseno’s upgrades, Genos’ incineration cannon has become increasingly destructive, allowing the death cyborg to take on threats far beyond his original limits. When hit directly by Genos’ cannons, targets are scorched with intense heat and explosive force.
As shown in the One-Punch Man anime, Genos’ incineration cannon has the power to obliterate the House of Evolution’s hideout and even scorch the streets of Z-City without exerting too much effort.
Master Martial Arts
As the strongest practitioner of martial arts, Bang is a veteran fighter whose Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist fighting style gives him perfect offense and defense. He has been using this fighting style for quite a long time now, and it never fails to deal real damage to any opponent that comes his way.
Even the hero hunter Garou relies on this fighting style during times of crisis. It’s a revolutionary technique that flows like a calm stream, masking the immense power behind every strike. However, Bang’s ultimate martial arts technique is the Roaring Aura Sky Ripping Fist, which can only be used once. It enables Bang to unleash a rapid series of punches, each sending lethal shockwaves through his opponent’s body.
Atomic Slash
The S-class hero, Atomic Samurai, is the strongest swordsman in the series. His disciples look up to his incredible swordplay, hoping they could reach his level someday. In the third season of One-Punch Man, Atomic Samurai proves that his way with the sword is a lethal art form that even the Machine God Battle Robot was no match for.
Atomic Samurai’s ultimate technique, Atomic Slash, allows the user to strike multiple enemies at once and reduce them to pieces. It is a lightning-fast strike that can cut and plow through dozens of enemies in the blink of an eye, leaving nothing but devastation in its wake. As long as Atomic Samurai is alive and well, he can use Atomic Slash over and over again.

Regeneration
One-Punch Man isn’t the only series with characters like Zombieman who possess hyper-regenerative abilities. The ability to heal from even the deadliest attacks turns characters like Zombieman into virtually unstoppable warriors. He can fight for a very long time, and there’s no assurance that any attack can permanently incapacitate him.
As a result, Zombieman was unstoppable during the Monsters Association arc, allowing him to not only kill the Pureblood Vampire but also two Monster Association Robots that use Metal Knight’s technology. As long as Zombieman has his regeneration, bringing him down is a task few could ever hope to achieve.
Psychokinesis
One-Punch Man constantly hypes Tatsumaki as the strongest esper in the series. Her psychokinesis is on a different level of strength, as even the most powerful opponents like Gyoro Gyoro can’t match her abilities at all. From lifting entire buildings to generating formidable shields, her psychic abilities make her an absolute force of nature.
So far, Tatsumaki remains undefeated in the One-Punch Man anime with her outrageous psychic abilities. Her presence on the battlefield is always a clear sign that the fight is about to be over before it even begins. She’s incredibly reliable, and it’s safe to assume that she could eliminate hundreds or even thousands of monsters with her psychokinesis.
Space-Time Manipulation
Anime viewers have yet to witness the might of the strongest class-S hero in the series, as Blast remains out of commission. He is said to appear the moment humanity needs him the most, making him a mysterious guardian whose abilities could be a game-changing weapon against the most powerful opponents in One-Punch Man.
However, manga readers are fully aware of Blast’s space-time manipulation. Not only can he generate portals to go from one place to another, but he can also manipulate gravity to enhance his own attacks. By simply using his ability to manipulate space and time, he can easily trap his opponents in another dimension or warp the battlefield itself.
Serious Punch
Saitama claims the top spot with his signature Serious Punch, one of the ultimate moves from his self-proclaimed “Serious Series.” This punch is far stronger than his ordinary one-shot punch, packing enough destructive damage to not only negate Boros’ Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon but also reduce Elder Centipede into pieces.
In One-Punch Man Season 3, Saitama unleashed it against Lord Orochi, blasting him deep into the planet’s core with a single devastating strike. His killer move doesn’t have a flashy name, but its overwhelming power speaks louder than any dramatic title ever could.
