Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt return to the beloved horror franchise with the release of “I Know What You Did Last Summer” which is now available for on digital viewing. The new cast of actors as well as the familiar face of the Hewitt and Prinze Jr bring a murmur of expectation both positive and hesitant for the movie’s follow-up.

The “I Know What You Did Last Summer (IKWYDLS)” franchise seems to have a wider international appeal by the nature of Harry’s and Julie’s portrayal. The world knows Harry and Julie. This was evident with Portuguese and Spanish comments that even international users provided us with. One Spanish-speaker’s comment translated naturally to: “ohhhhhh, now I know what to download tomorrow, thanks for letting me know”. And a Portuguese user simply stated that they enjoyed the plot and that they would like more of it. It shows how the Harry and Julie stans want more content.
While it was greeted by a mixed reception, one fundamental thing everyone can gather is the film definitely got fans talking and sharing their views on it. Given the acceptance the movie seems to have gotten overall, it’s quite likely that there will be more of it and maybe even expanded on. The sequel, however, seems to be a long time coming; it will hinge on the ongoing support from the fans and the integrity of the franchise, which will promote a set plan to the movie studios.
