HoYoVerse confirmed the release date for the Genshin Impact Luna V update and release of new character Varka, and things will roll out on February 25, 2026. The Special Program confirmed all the events and additions, which also suggested a new event with Venti called “Homeward, He Who Caught the Wind,” the return of Skirk, confirmation of a Varka Story Quest, and Primogem codes.
First, here’s the schedule for the character banners heading to Genshin Impact, which includes Varka in the first part of it. His Gest of the Mighty Wolf claymore will also be on the weapon banner when the version update appears.
- Phase 1 starting on February 25, 2026:
- Flins (electro, polearm)
- Varka (anemo, claymore)
- Phase 2 starting at the halfway point of the update:
- Escoffier (cryo, polearm)
- Skirk (cryo, sword)
The three Primogem codes that grant 100 currency each, as well as 5 Hero’s Wits, 10 Mystic Enhancement Ores, and 50,000 Mora are live for all of February 13, 2026 too. Here are all three of them:
- Homeward
- VarkaArrives
- VisitWonderland
Here’s the official story and character trailer, which shows everyone heading back to Mondstadt to deal with some unexpected strangeness and situations. It also shows off Varka by having him fight the new boss.

Currently, the two banners live in Genshin Impact are for the new character Zibai and a rerun of Neuvillette. The Lantern Rite event in Liyue also returned, and that offers a chance to get a free costume and pick a free Liyue four-star character for participating in its activities.
Genshin Impact is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and the Luna V update with Varka debut and Skirk rerun arrives on February 25, 2026.
