After the first season, the wait was quite short as just a year later, Solo Leveling Season 2 dropped. This time, the wait appears to be longer.
There have been a few comments here and there from the producers and directors, and while they didn’t give away the release date, they certainly did point to a release window. Fans could really expect this season as early as 2026, or as late as 2028, depending on what the studio decides. According to Atsushi Kaneko, 2028 would be the ideal release date for Solo Leveling Season 3. But, he does realize that it’s likely not going to be that far away.
“I think more than anyone, I am anxiously awaiting a Season 3! But in truth, between Season 1 and Season 2, 220,000 frames of animation were created. So, if it were up to me, I’d say let’s wait until the next Olympics (2028) to see what’s going to happen with Season 3. But I think that’s more up to Kaneko and A-1 Pictures.”

Fans expect Season 3 to feature Jinwoo’s return to the double dungeon, where he will meet some important characters and figure out the truth about the System and its creation. It is also very likely that the other Monarchs will be featured heavily in Solo Leveling Season 3. There will also be a lot more information concerning the lore of the story, such as the other National Level Hunters, and of course, the Gates. Above all, Sung Jinwoo will be stronger than ever in Solo Leveling Season 3.
Fans expect Solo Leveling Season 3 to be around 13 episodes, and cover up to 40 chapters. In that case, fans could expect the story to stop around chapter 148. This would leave the studio with enough content for Solo Leveling Season 4.
