To Harvested in 2022: What a year Pedro Pascal went through! Preceded by the gigantic success of The Last of Us, being an aftermath of The Mandalorian effect, the Chilean-American star now jumps briskly into the MCU with The Fantastic Four. The new Instagram post from Marvel Studios shows Pascal in Berlin, Germany, seemingly soaking all the love from the fans and the press. Caption: “Love from Pedro Pascal in Berlin, Germany 🫶 #TheFantasticFour.”

The short clip shows behind-the-scenes footage with Pascal, whose charming personality has catapulted him into one of Hollywood’s favourite actors. The voice over says, “I love your journey, I love you for the end. Thank you for coming to the movie,” but it was not clear if these words were meant for the fans or were part of an interview. Whatever it was, that whole segment was pure Pascal: warm, engaging, and completely cool.
Comments on this were overwhelmingly positive, as fans expressed their excitement to have his presence in the Marvel world. “He is having the time of his life right now! I can’t wait to see this movie!”, one fan stated. Another proclaimed, “From Star Wars franchise to Marvel: that is Pedro Pascal!!!” So, the hype for his taking on Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) has reached a fever pitch.
There was one dissatisfied voice, however. One Berlin-based fan stated he did not spend as much time with fans as he could have. “I was there… first of all-he came way too late. He took a few pictures and autographs for the press and that’s it,” stirring a massive debate between those who backed Pascal about some of the unpleasant times he goes through and those who believe fan interaction should be numero uno at promotional events. “He’s incredibly busy and there are a lot of people here, it’s likely he was overwhelmed or anxious,” someone replied.
Fashion also made the spotlight. While many complimented him for looking effortlessly cool, one critic posed the question to him: “Why can’t you dress normally? That little blouse isn’t very manly.” It brought in an immediate backlash, with others countering, “What’s manly clothes? Bloody fur and hard leather? Everyone should wear whatever he/she/it likes.”
What follows next are superlatives on his acting, him being humble, and his many wins in front of an audience irrespective of any character he portrays. “Bro looks smoother as he gets older. Dude is an elite actor I get the hype,” added this fan. “The man, the myth, the legend,” echoed another.
Expected to be of Marvel’s biggest releases, The Fantastic Four is going to continue building up Pascal’s star. And at least from how this Berlin time-out was received, fans are ready to stick to Pascal for the entire duration of this new chapter. Be it signing autographs or just flashing that million-dollar smile at the cameras, Pascal is no longer just an actor for a Marvel flick but something else altogether.
