A masked Tekken 8 player beat a pro at CEO 2025 and was then disqualified for throwing toilet paper.

The Tekken community loves its top players, but may love chaos even more. The most memorable moment from Combo Breaker was top pros competing shirtless rather than whoever won. CEO 2025 was yet another event to feature strange behavior from its Tekken 8 tournament.

A player going by ‘Joe Budden,’ no relation to the rapper, arrived at CEO 2025 wearing a Doctor Doom cosplay complete with a face-concealing mask. His identity is not known yet he became the one to watch at CEO 2025 due to his mysterious appearance and impressive skills. In fact, Joe Budden ended up beating Wolves Esports’ Bilal ‘Bilal’ Ilyas in pools, getting a shocking 2-0 victory that left the community perplexed.

At the end of the match, Joe Budden gave a fist bump to a very visibly upset Bilal. It seemed like a sportsmanship moment but then Joe Budden shoved a pack of toilet paper into the camera, pointing at the words ‘Ultra Soft’ on the packaging. After that, he went backstage and tossed the toilet paper to the commentators.

While the commentators found it quite hilarious, tournament officials disqualified him. This put a stop to his pretty impressive run and he he missed out on his chance at reaching Top 24. The reason? Players are not allowed to go backstage. Apparently, Joe Budden had even pushed his way past a tournament organiser to get back there according to some reports.

“That’s the thing — none of that s— was a problem. They told me they found it funny, even throwing the toilet paper. The problem they had is that I went backstage… Here’s the thing, nobody stopped me when I went backstage,” Joe Budden said in an interview.

“I think somebody was saying ‘stop’ behind me, but I was already five to 10 feet away from the commentators table. Then someone grabbed me. I tried taking a few steps forward. He was struggling a little bit to hold me back because I’m about 6’2. I tossed the toilet paper and walked away and let them send me back outside.”

It’s an unfortunate — and strange — end to a very wild Tekken 8 run at CEO 2025. But it likely won’t be the last time we see Joe Budden compete on a big stage.

Joe Budden is an online Tekken 8 player known for grinding ranked matches. His aggressive Claudio play is hated across the community yet Joe Budden has decided to take the show on the road.

Earlier this year, the masked competitor attended Evo Japan. He placed 129th out of nearly 1,000 opponents with a 4-2 record. CEO proved to be an even better in-person showing, placing 65th out of 642 competitors. He probably would have made it further if he didn’t run backstage with his Ultra Soft Charmin’ toilet paper.

Still, his commanding victory against Pakistani pro Bilal — who has beat Arslan Ash in the past — demonstrated that he has a lot of talent in LAN tournaments, despite his usual online grind.

The Tekken 8 community was largely disappointed at Joe Budden’s DQ. They felt he was ‘playing the part’ of a villain and enjoyed the entertainment. Between the Ki Charging taunt and Ultra Soft diss, fans were calling his ‘supervillain’ display a lot of fun to witness.

“Stuff like this is why I love the FGC,” said one Tekken 8 viewer.

Hopefully Joe Budden appears at another big fighting game event in the near future with more villain antics — ones that won’t get him disqualified this time.
