I Am Your Beast VR has added two seconds to every rank time in every level, in an update Impact Inked posted on October 12. The same release brings a Steam online leaderboard, bHaptics support, four achievements and a short list of fixes.

Impact Inked gives its reason in the patch notes. The two seconds went in “to make the ranks time limits more fair in VR while preserving the challenging core of the game”, and the change is blanket: every rank, every level, rather than a selected set of the harder ones.
The explanation is unusually plain for a patch note: a number, and the reason for it. Which ranks or levels prompted the change, Impact Inked does not say.
Ranks are awarded against each level’s time limit, so two seconds added across the board moves every grade in the game rather than easing one awkward stage.
The leaderboard starts from zero
The new board shows “your global rank at the end of each level”, and the notes are explicit that “only times/scores achieved after this update are valid and uploaded to steam”. Nothing set before October 12 is carried over.
Taken with the rebalance, that leaves every board starting clean on the new timings, so no run recorded under the old limits competes with one recorded under the looser ones. Times set between the September 17 launch and this update sit outside the board entirely.
The leaderboard and the rebalance shipped in the same build, so the first times on the board are the first set under the new limits. Only two posts preceded this one on the game’s Steam feed, the launch announcement on September 17 and a patch on October 1.
Fixes land on assists, airstrikes and left-hand grabs
Three fixes ship alongside. Assists settings “now apply correctly when quitting the settings menu”, airstrikes have been optimised for low and mid range PCs, and the third covers the left-hand gun’s visibility during health item grab animations. Support for bHaptics hardware and four new achievements complete the release.
Of the three, the airstrike work is the only one aimed at performance rather than at what a player sees or sets.
I Am Your Beast VR arrived on Steam on September 17, listed VR Only at $22.99 in the US, with Flat2VR Spark and Strange Scaffold credited as developers. Impact Inked is the label Flat2VR Studios’ founders set up in May 2025 to publish original VR games.
Impact Inked describes the release as a leaderboard, a rebalance for rank times, a few bug fixes, four achievements and bHaptics support. The two seconds apply as soon as it is installed, and every leaderboard time from here is measured against the new limits.
