10 best Christmas skins in Overwatch 2 and how to get them

It’s officially the holiday season, and gamers everywhere can celebrate with all sorts of in-game cosmetics. Overwatch 2 is a game that has plenty to choose from when it comes to Christmas-themed cosmetics, especially skins for each of the heroes. 

We’re going to be looking at 10 of the most notable Overwatch Christmas skins in 2025. These skins stand out from the plethora of other Overwatch 2 Christmas skins due to their design, creativity, and how well they suit their character. That’s not to say that there isn’t a lot to love about the other festive skins in the game, but the ones on our list are top-tier choices.

Wrapping Paper is a recolour of the Cardboard skin, and it works even better as a Christmas look. The cardboard armour has been changed to have a Christmassy red, green, white and gold colour palette, while the cute kids’ drawings have been given a holiday makeover. The Cardboard line of skins is highly creative, but Wrapping Paper takes it a step further thanks to the seasonal vibes. 

Wrecking Ball’s design lends itself to various fun and creative skins, and his Snowman skin is a great example of a creative Christmas-themed skin for the cute hamster ball. The wrecking ball mech has been turned into a snowman with presents and decorative festive bells attached. Hammond himself dons a Santa costume, complete with a red hat and white beard, making the skin as festive as it is adorable. 

Mercy has a few Christmas-themed skins, but Jingle Belle makes our list thanks to its cute cosiness. Along with a reindeer headband, Mercy dons golden wings and a cosy sleeveless sweater and winter dress combo. The outfit manages to be both stylish and festive, making for the perfect addition to a Mercy main’s in-game wardrobe. 

With Gingerbread, Bastion has been redesigned to resemble a gingerbread figure, complete with candy accessories, icing, and a chocolate frame. The textures on the candy and the gingerbread are excellent, with sparkles and ridges that make the skin look good enough to eat.  

Ice Wraith is more of a general winter skin rather than being Christmas-themed, but it makes it onto our list thanks to its seasonal nature and its fantastic design. Genji is transformed into a wraith-like ice creature with jagged icicles emerging from his armour and helmet with this skin. It works well for Genji as a character, but it also just looks awesome. 

Toybot Zenyatta redesigns the omnic as a toy robot, and the result is a super fun and creative skin. Zenyatta’s head gets a total makeover, with an electronic face that changes expressions. His discord and harmony orbs are changed into colourful balls, while his body is blue and has cute star decorations. The electronic face is the star of this skin, offering something unique while still maintaining the Christmas theme. 

Roadhog has a bunch of awesome Christmas and winter-themed skins – such as his Rudolph and Ice Fisherman skins – but Frosty earns a spot on this list due to how fitting it is for Roadhog. Originally an Overwatch Christmas event skin back in 2020, Frosty depicts Roadhog as a menacing snowman come to life. The design is simple, but perfect for Roadhog’s large frame and towering nature. It’s a bit of a creepy skin, but that makes it all the more unique in comparison to the more cutesy Christmas skins. 

Krampus has become a popular horror-themed Christmas figure in the last decade or so. The half-demon, half-goat creature, known to drag naughty children to Hell, has had a few skins in different games, and his Overwatch 2 skin goes to Junkrat. Junkrat is the perfect recipient, as he channels the same bizarre energy as the Krampus. Junkrat’s design also suits the general style of the Krampus excellently, goat horns and all. For a Christmas skin that is also great for Halloween enthusiasts, Krampus is a great choice. 

Rudolph is one of the most iconic Christmas figures, and Orisa channels him perfectly with the Reindeer skin. Orisa receives a long snout with a glowing red nose and ears to reflect Rudolph, changing her generic face model but still maintaining the key elements of her design. She also has antlers, a tail and hooves, along with Christmas accessories and white fluffy accents that look like fur. This is a much-loved Christmas skin in the Overwatch community, and it’s easy to see why.

Out of all Overwatch Christmas skins, the only one that tops Reindeer Orisa is Santaclad Torbjorn. Torbjorn is the perfect hero to receive a Santa skin, but it’s the little touches that reflect Torb’s personality that make this skin shine, such as the little Christmas trees on his backpack, the antlers on his turret and the bells attached to the ends of his beard. Santaclad Torbjorn is an iconic skin for a reason, but it’s also a fabulous Christmas skin in Overwatch 2 and the best of the best of the Overwatch Winter Wonderland skins.
