Minecraft 1.21: Top 20 Best Seeds for May 2025
20 – Frozen River Grove

- Seed: 8782047003850512308
- Spawn: 285, -32
- Biomes: Deep Dark, Frozen River, Grove, Snowy Plains, Snowy Taiga
An icy Frozen River divides this world into a Snowy Plains biome and a Snowy Taiga. Cross the river to find a Taiga Village containing plenty of crops, plus a weaponsmith’s chest with iron armor and an iron pickaxe. Take these materials to the cave at the edge of the village to find your first Ancient City. Use the items and ores found here to craft even stronger gear, then venture deeper into the Grove to explore two more cities.

- Seed: 5505411036649382596
- Spawn: -103, -718
- Biomes: Coral Reef, Desert, Mangrove Swamp, Windswept Savanna
Wind blows harshly across this Desert, sweeping up a Savanna and a Mangrove Swamp and turning them into a large Windswept biome! The lower half of this biome is covered in water and mud, while the upper half is home to Savanna trees and grass. Players will also find a Coral Reef in the area behind their spawn. Explore the surrounding areas to find either a Desert Temple in Bedrock edition or a Desert Village in Java edition.

18 – Icy River Ruins

The two Snowy Taigas around Spawn are each home to their own set of Trail Ruins. You’ll find a set of snow-covered ruins in the smaller Taiga, while the larger one will contain Trail Ruins on the edge of a Frozen River. Excavate them carefully to avoid flooding them with the water hidden beneath the river’s icy exterior. If you excavate both structures, you’re guaranteed to gather some useful treasures from the past.

17 – Pale Pillagers

A set of Pillagers has found their home in the Meadow Mountain next to this Pale Garden. Traveling past them to the set of mountains beyond that Pale Garden will lead you to two Ancient Cities, the second of which has a golden apple in a chest by the city’s central portal. If you don’t feel like fighting your way through life, you could settle down in the Pale Garden biome next to Spawn.

16 – Badland’s Trial Chambers

Every 1.21 Minecraft player needs a good Trial Chambers seed. This one takes place in a Wooded Badlands biome that neighbors a regular Badlands biome filled with Ancient Cities. Take on the Trial Chamber first to test your prowess and gather materials like enchanted books, then use those to craft stronger gear to take on the Ancient Cities and their Wardens.

15 – Easy Ocean Ruins

Animal lovers will adore this Minecraft seed with a set of exposed Warm Ocean Ruins at Spawn. The Stony Shores around the ruins contain both iron and copper, allowing you to make a brush as soon as you find the ruins. I was able to get a Sniffer Egg from the very first ruin I excavated. Hopefully, your luck will be the same!

14 – Pale Garden over Mansion

Pale Oak trees grow on the roof of this Woodland Mansion. Since the Mansion has been generated partially inside a Pale Garden hill, the Lush Cave underneath it has clipped into its many rooms. You’ll find glow berries, moss, vines, and even small flowering azaleas in most rooms on the Mansion’s right side.

13 – Survival Speedrun

Sometimes, you just want to get to the End as fast as possible to unlock an Elytra. The generation in this world is perfect for Bedrock players who feel this way due to several Plains Villages, a nearly complete Nether Portal, and a Stronghold not too far from Spawn. Speedrun through these structures to find yourself in the End in just a few in-game days.

12 – Blacksmith Island

Swim west from Spawn to come across this Plains and Stony Shore island. For Java players, it will be home to a ruined Nether portal and a Plains Village with two Blacksmiths. Bedrock Players will only have buried treasure scattered around the island’s Stony Shores. However, they will spawn next to a Blacksmith residing in a Savanna Village.

11 – Two Ruin Taiga Village

Two different ruin structures can be found in this Taiga Village. The first is a set of Trail Ruins next to one of the village’s pig pens, while the second is a ruined Nether portal half-buried inside a hill. Since both are almost completely inside the town, you’ll be protected by Iron Golems while you dig them up. This makes this seed perfect for players who want to peacefully unearth ruins without worrying about hostile mobs.

10 – Windswept Desert Temple

Most of the sandstone on the right side of this Windswept Savanna biome comes from the Desert Temple that has merged with it. While the top entrance is unreachable, the front entrance is still usable. The tall base of the Temple makes it possible for you to dig straight into the treasure room if you don’t feel like entering it. While exploring the area around the Temple, you’ll see a Desert Village in front of it and a Pillager Outpost with a Plains Village in the background. Make sure to stop by both villages as they are each home to a Blacksmith.

9 – Dark Forest with two Mansions

Since Woodland Mansions are difficult to find near Spawn in Minecraft’s Bedrock edition, this seed with two guaranteed Woodland Mansions is a definite hit! While the second Mansion is good, it’s the first one that steals the show. It is only about 1,000 blocks from Spawn and is home to a rare secret room containing lava and obsidian. Luckily, Java players aren’t left out because they’ll find their own Woodland Mansion and a set of Trail Ruins in the same Dark Forest.

8 – Taiga Outpost guarding Lush Cave

In this Taiga, a Pillager Outpost stands guard over a large Lush Cave. It’s far enough to allow you to sneak into the cave, but close enough to pose a threat still. In addition to the outpost, you’ll have access to a set of Trail Ruins.

7 – Deep Dark mountain

A Deep Dark biome covers the caverns beneath this mountain. On the walk towards it, you’ll come across a ruined Nether portal and a large cavern dropping down into deepslate and a Deep Dark biome. Continue to explore underground to find two separate Ancient Cities. If you don’t feel prepared to take them on, stop by the Plains Village by the far side of the mountain.

6 – Pillager Outpost above a Cavern

A cobblestone and dark oak pillar descends from this Pillager Outpost into the cavern below. After defeating the Pillagers, you can use this pillar by lining it with ladders. Walk a few dozen blocks to the southeast to find a Plains Village. Use the villagers and their farms to rest up and gather any materials you might be missing.

5 – Mushroom Sanctuary

Mushroom Islands are one of the safest biomes in Minecraft. This is because hostile mobs cannot naturally spawn on the island’s special Mycelium blocks. So long as you make a bed and keep away from the water at night, you’ll be able to live a peaceful life easily. Just make sure to bring tree saplings with you so you don’t run out of wood.

Mushroom Island: -158, -486 | Mushroom Island: -158, -486 |
4 – Underwater Trail Ruins

Trail Ruins are often found poking above the surface in certain biomes, like Taigas and Birch Forests. However, they can also rarely spawn inside bodies of water. This seed is an extremely special case because Bedrock players will find a set of Trail Ruins at the bottom of a Lukewarm Ocean. Several of the gravel blocks have broken away from the structure, giving the appearance that it is slowly melting away into the water. However, don’t be fooled by its unique exterior. Its underwater appearance is beautiful, but it is one of the most difficult types of Trail Ruins to excavate.

3 – Meet the Creaking

The Pale Garden is the newest biome, but also one of the hardest Overworld biomes to find. This seed makes the process easier by having one of the largest Pale Gardens I’ve ever seen only a short walk away from Spawn. While exploring the garden, you’ll come across a Lush Cave hidden within it. Use the cave as a starting point to make your way to a Trial Chamber structure deep underground.

2 – Lucky Survival island

Java players will spawn on a survival island with two Savanna Villages, one Plains Village, and one Desert Village in this seed. The Plains village has a blacksmith, and there’s also an Ocean Monument near the island. On top of that, I discovered two Trial Chambers underneath the island. What a fantastic seed!

1 – Cherry Valley

One of the safest places to spawn is in a village surrounded by hills or mountains. This seed spawns you in a Cherry Grove valley with a lake and a small village. There’s another village outside the valley, giving you access to a few extra resources. I was also able to locate a Trial Chamber right under the lake if you’re looking for a challenge. Additionally, a small lava fall near the village can be used to create a Nether Portal.
