Many fans respect her talent and hard work. She likes telling stories and connecting with fans through her work. 2. Mitsuri Kanroji: Demon Slayer
“I’m strong because I want to be kind to people!”
Mitsuri Kanroji from Demon Slayer is a funny character. With her pink and green hair and sweet voice. Watching her swing that ribbon-like sword with so much power while still being cheerful was eye-catching.
3. Chihiro Ogino: Spirited Away
“I think I can handle it now. I feel braver.”
Spirited Away was the first anime movie I ever watched. I was a kid, and so was Chihiro. But somehow, she felt way braver than I.
The movie shows Chihiro, who gets trapped in a magical spirit world while moving to a new town with her parents, causing her parents to turn into pigs. She was surviving alone and was looking for a way to bring her parents back to normal.
4. Kaguya Shinomiya: Love is War
“If I could be born again… I’d want to be normal. I’d want to be loved by someone.”
Watching her try to win Miyuki’s love with clever tricks was funny, but also so real. I’ve tried to act cool like her too, hiding feelings, waiting for the other person to speak first. It never really works. There’s one scene at the school festival where she wants to confess but can’t. I’ve been there. That fear of opening up is tough.
Her voice, done by Aoi Koga in Japanese and Alexis Tipton in English, made her feel so real. Kaguya showed me that love isn’t a game. It’s about being honest, even when it’s hard.
5. Usagi Tsukino: Sailor Moon
“There’s no use in crying over misspelled silk!”
Usagi Tsukino is the clumsiest, whiniest girl in the first episode. And yet? She becomes one of the most powerful anime characters on Earth.
What made me love Sailor Moon wasn’t just her battles – it was her heart. She cried. She doubted herself. But when her friends were in danger, she stood up. Every. Single. Time.
The first time I saw her cry and still transform to save everyone, I realized that real courage doesn’t look perfect. It just shows up, even when you’re afraid.
6. Belarus: Hetalia: Axis Powers
“No one will keep me away from you.”
In the drama, Belarus seems to care a lot about her older brother, Russia, and is also obsessed with marrying him. The story is about a family issue, which shows how she craves the love of her family.
7. Rin Nohara: Naruto
“I wanted to stay with you all… just a little longer”
Rin’s story still hurts. She was a kind, talented ninja who got caught in the middle of a war that tore her apart. The moment she sacrificed herself to protect her village… I still can’t rewatch it without tearing up.
Rin’s strength was full of emotion. She made an impossible decision for the people she loved. And when Kakashi found that letter she left behind, full of hope and kindness, every fan cried.
8. Faye Valentine: Cowboy Bebop
“Survival of the fittest, baby. That’s the rule of space.”
Faye is complicated, and that’s why I love her.
She wakes up in a future she doesn’t understand. She’s lost her memories. She acts cold, selfish, and wild, but it’s all armor.
There’s an episode where she finds an old videotape of herself as a child. She laughs and cries. She watches it over and over again. Faye taught me that sometimes, the toughest people are the ones who are hurting the most. And that it’s okay to search for who you really are.
9. Yumeko Jabami: Kakegurui
“Let’s make it fun, dangerously fun.”
Yumeko doesn’t gamble for money. She does it for the thrill.
That’s what makes her terrifying, and kind of amazing. In a school where everyone’s fake, she lives fully in the moment. She exposes lies just by being her chaotic, fearless self.
There’s a scene where she risks everything just to enjoy the game. And that wild, reckless honesty made me want to take more chances in life, too.
10. Bulma Briefs: Dragon Ball series
“Brains beat biceps, every time.”
Before super-powered warriors were flying around and blowing up planets, there was Bulma, with a gadget in her hand and a plan in her head.
Bulma was the brain of Dragon Ball. She invented the Dragon Radar. She survived in a world of warriors with nothing but science, sass, and stubbornness.
What I love about her is that she’s always herself, smart, bossy, and brave. And funny as hell. When everything went sideways, Bulma solved the crisis.
Final Thoughts
I’ve always loved watching anime since my childhood. I still remember when I first saw Usagi crying while protecting her friends. Bulma was always one of my favorites. After school, I’d watch her come up with wild inventions and never back down. She made being smart and bold look so cool. I wanted to be like her. Chihiro in ‘Spirited Away’ reminded me of myself.
Characters like Mitsuri, Yumeko, and Kaguya showed me different kinds of strength. Kindness, confidence, even quiet bravery. I saw little parts of myself in each of them. These girls made me feel understood. They reminded me to keep going, to care deeply, and to be strong in my own way, having a strong yet silent influence on who I am today as a person.
