The latest episode of the One Piece anime was absolutely phenomenal. It had a special moment featuring Jewelry Bonney. In the episode, Bonney used her Distorted Future ability to morph into Nika and attack Saint. Jaygarcia Saturn. The latter has been responsible for tearing apart Bonney’s family and ruining her entire life.
For the record, Saturn experimented on Ginny, which resulted in her catching the Sapphire Scale Disease. Ginny died because of it, and unfortunately, it was passed on to Bonney. When Kuma learned about Bonney’s condition, he dedicated his entire life to finding a cure. Upon learning that Vegapunk could help him, Kuma traveled to Egghead Island. Vegapunk was ready to help Kuma in exchange for conducting some experiments. However, Saturn intervened yet again and asked Kuma to fulfill three conditions.
One Piece: Why Shamrock Figarland Might Be Bonney’s Father
Bonney’s father is a celestial dragon. Her father might be revealed as Shamrock Figarland in One Piece.
Kuma loved Bonney far too much to give up, so he agreed and threw away his humanity. Bonney didn’t learn about these things until much later, which is why her punch to Saturn felt so satisfying. The punch contained years of trauma, anger, and pain behind it, and the One Piece anime did the moment complete justice. However, she can’t let her guard down just yet, as all Five Elders are immortal.
The Buildup To Joyboy’s Reveal
In Episode 1152, Emet talked to Luffy and called him Joyboy. Luffy had no idea who Joyboy was, but he was happy that the robot was on his side. Another detail worth mentioning is that only Luffy was able to hear Emet’s voice, and it was because the pirate could use the Voice of All Things.

With this particular ability, Luffy was able to understand Emet and learn his intentions. Since Emet was fighting the Five Elders, the Straw Hats and the giants were able to retreat. So, his actions were extremely important to their survival.
Aside from the action involving Emet and Bonney, there was an overwhelmingly sad moment in the episode, as Atlas sacrificed herself to save the Straw Hats from the clutches of Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro. Without her sacrifice, the Elder would have never let them escape, after which, it would have been curtains for them.
One Piece Episode 1153 Release Date

One Piece Episode 1153 will be released on December 14th, 2025. It is titled “The Upheaval of an Era. The Color of the Supreme King That Leads Luffy.’ In the episode, the legendary Joyboy will make an appearance for the first time. His name has been mentioned several times in the story, but fans have never seen him.
Thankfully, that will change in One Piece Episode 1153, as it will feature Emet’s flashback. Emet has already stated that it knew Joyboy and even fought with him many centuries ago. However, it is unclear how Emet survived while Joyboy was wiped out. In Episode 1153, viewers will learn about Emet’s past, including how it met Joyboy and its relationship with the pirate.
Emet Will Have To Put Its Life On The Line
There is a good chance that this will be Emet’s last stand, and it will be demolished after the fight is over. Even if it is destroyed, there is no denying that it has been an invaluable ally to Vegapunk and the Straw Hats, saving them multiple times. The Iron Giant reappeared a couple of episodes ago, and it saved the Giant Warrior Pirates’ ship from being destroyed.
One Piece: Oda Reveals A Gorosei’s Relative
As more of the Gods’ Knights make their way onto Elbaf, Oda has revealed another member of a notable Celestial Dragon family!
Sadly, despite Emet’s best attempts, the Five Elders have not stopped their onslaught. They are intent on destroying Luffy and his crew. However, the Five Elders don’t know that Emet has a special weapon in his locker that can turn the battle on its head. The weapon was given to it by Joyboy, and the robot will likely use it against the Five Elders to protect Luffy.
If the weapon is effective, then the Straw Hats will escape Egghead Island in One Piece Episode 1153 along with the giants. It has already been confirmed that their goal is Elbaf, so the heroes will drop anchor at the most powerful nation in the world.

One Piece Episode 1153 will be available to watch on Crunchyroll shortly after it premieres in Japan. Like always, the episode will have Japanese audio and English subtitles. If fans want to change the subtitles, they can do so using the video player. Viewers interested in the English dub will have to wait for weeks, as it has not caught up to the subbed version.
