Coben has described the creative team as a dream team. The theme music of the series was composed by Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurrians.

The early reports show 24 million views in the first four days of its debut. Within a week, it had become the new debut series of 2026. The series has gathered 85 million views in a week. By July, the series had gotten 101.9 million views globally.

Hayden Payne kidnapped the boy years earlier to arrange his own DNA for the fertility clinic. Gertrude knew the truth from the private paternity test. Hayden confronted her that he had killed his mother. During a gunfight, Hayden was killed. David was shot by the gun but survived the injury. David and Cheryl began to co-parent Matthew. 

The ending of the story sorts out every broken tie, indicating the end of the I Will Find You series. It is a limited series, and with the very end, the return of the series is next to impossible. 

Is I Will Find You Returning for a Second Season?

Netflix hasn’t issued any official cancellation or renewal notices as of now. The series has been marketed as a limited series. During an interview, Coben has directly spoken about the possibility of a second season. He said, “I think this is my 13th series with Netflix. It is not fair to ask people to watch the eight-episode series and then wait for 2-3 years for the next season; I would rather do a new story.”

He left an opening by saying, I never say never. If someone came up with a storyline that is as good as the first season. I would say it, but I don’t think I’m going to push it.
