September 2, 2026 – VR Expert, a provider of extended reality (XR) hardware and support services, and Treeview, an XR development studio serving enterprise clients globally, have recently announced a partnership to help enterprise customers identify, develop, and deploy custom applications for XREAL AURA.
First announced in 2025 as Project Aura, XREAL AURA is a pair of wired, optical see-through glasses from XR hardware developer XREAL, built in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm Technologies. The glasses run on Google’s Android XR platform and feature a 70-degree field of view, with a global launch confirmed for later in 2026.
Commenting on the partnership announcement in a LinkedIn post, Treeview Founder and CEO Horacio Torrendell said: “VR Expert is one of the world’s leading XR hardware providers. Treeview is one of the top studios building custom enterprise XR software. Together we cover the full enterprise deployment path: Hardware Procurement and Custom Enterprise XR Applications.”
According to the companies, the collaboration is designed to support projects from the first discussion through to deployment and covers:
- Use-case discovery and feasibility workshops focused on a defined business process or customer experience.
- Access to XREAL AURA demonstrations and hardware evaluation through VR Expert.
- Rapid prototypes and proofs of concept to validate interaction design, technical feasibility, and user acceptance.
- Custom Android XR and Unity development, including 3D content, cloud services, and enterprise-system integrations.
- Hardware procurement, configuration, logistics, rollout planning, technical support, and lifecycle services.
- A structured route from a limited pilot to a repeatable deployment across teams, sites, or regions.
Founded in 2016, Treeview develops custom virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), smart-glasses and spatial computing applications for enterprise organizations. The company’s work spans sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, retail, energy, education, automotive and government.
In June 2026, Torrendell was part of the team behind Network XR, the overall winner of Google’s first Android XR hackathon for XREAL AURA, according to the companies. Network XR was created as a conference networking application, using real-time face recognition to show attendee profiles, shared interests, and conversation starters, supported by a web platform that generated follow-up summaries.
The companies said initial areas for exploration across enterprise use cases include training and guided workflows, design reviews and digital twins, collaboration and expert support, healthcare and life sciences, sales, events and customer experiences, and cultural heritage sites including museums and monuments.
VR Expert and Treeview stated that going forward, the partnership will be used to identify relevant enterprise use cases and engage organizations that want to evaluate XREAL AURA ahead of a broader deployment.
