On September 19, 2015, in One Piece Chapter 800, Eiichiro Oda officially created the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, which is one of the most powerful forces sailing the seas of One Piece. The Straw Hat Grand Fleet consists of seven pirate crews, all of whom serve under the Yonko, Monkey D. Luffy, and the Straw Hat Pirates. In total, this Grand Fleet consists of 5,650 people from various tribes and different parts of the world.
The Straw Hat Grand Fleet is an incredibly powerful fleet under Luffy as things stand, but One Piece Chapter 1191, which was officially released on August 23, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #39, revealed to us the strongest captain of the Grand Fleet yet. This person is none other than Hajrudin, the son of King Harald and the brother of Loki. With his fresh strike on Nerona Imu, Hajrudin has gone up both in terms of strength as well as durability and Haki usage.
One Piece Chapter 1191 Confirms Hajrudin As The Strongest Commander Of The Straw Hat Grand Fleet
When the Straw Hat Grand Fleet was first created in the Dressrosa arc around 11 years ago, the consensus among the fans was that the strongest members of the crew were Bartolomeo and Cavendish. At the time, that might have been true, but in terms of raw power, Hajrudin was always a force to be reckoned with. A glimpse of his raw strength was shown to us in One Piece Chapter 770, which was officially released on December 15, 2014, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #3. In this chapter, Hajrudin fought against Machvise and was able to push back against his 10,000-ton drop from the sky and send him flying for about 5 km against gravity, if not more. This was an incredibly powerful strike by Hajrudin that showed that, in the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, he had the greatest physical strength.
Machvise: Hajrudin, you’re not dead yet? Then I’ll make the next one a lot heavier. Take this, my 10,000-ton vise! This will smash you to bits!
Hajrudin: Gugnir!! Fly to the land of the Gods!
— Hajrudin uses Gugnir, One Piece Chapter #770
Now, in One Piece Chapter 1191, which was officially released on August 23, 2026, Eiichiro Oda gave Hajrudin more feats of strength. In this chapter, Hajrudin was seen launching a powerful strike on Nerona Imu after the latter utilized the power of his Akuma no Mi to undertake a new transformation. This strike was also Gugnir, and it sent Imu flying kilometers away. By landing a successful hit on the King of the entire World and the strongest character in the story, and sending him flying with tremendous force, Hajrudin is now easily the strongest of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet Commanders.
Luffy: Old man, run!!
Hajrudin: Gugnir!!!
Hajrudin: How can this be, Mr. Ya? He took your arm?
Gaban: Thanks for the assist, Hajrudin, but it’s not useful. He’s immortal. There’s no way to win.
— Hajrudin joins in to attack Imu, One Piece Chapter #1191
Hajrudin’s Raw Power And Haki Surpasses All Other Commanders
In terms of raw power, One Piece Chapter 1191 made it quite clear that Hajrudin had surpassed all the other commanders of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, but that certainly is it all. On August 23, 2026, it was clear to see that Hajrudin had also improved upon his defensive capabilities. Immediately after launching the powerful Gugnir strike on Imu, the King of the World retaliated with three Omen-infused bombs, created using Akuma no Mi’s power. These bombs were blocked by Hajrudin using his shield, but then, shortly afterwards, he defended against them using his own body. Even after taking three powerful bombs, Hajrudin was still standing, showcasing increased durability and Haki.
“You’ll never get me with that [Omen-infused bombs] again!” — Hajrudin blocks Imu’s attack, One Piece Chapter #1191
Furthermore, at the end of One Piece Chapter 1191, Hajrudin collaborated with Luffy and Loki to unleash a powerful move called Gokoku Sovereignty. This technique saw Hajrudin unleash a strong wave of Haki at Imu that is sure to do some damage to the King of the World. In other words, Hajrudin has not only received a boost in terms of strength but also in terms of durability and, most importantly, Haki usage. As things stand, he is quite easily the strongest member of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet.
Why Hajrudin Will Become A Yonko Level Character In The Future
Hajrudin is already incredibly powerful and stands among the strongest characters without any Devil Fruit or Supreme King Haki. However, he has yet to reach his full potential. He is bound to reach a level much higher later down the line in One Piece. This is because his dream is to become the King of all Giants and unite all the Giant tribes in the entire world. This is a task that is incredibly daunting and requires tremendous willpower and, more than that, incredible strength.
“Remember, Mr. Ya. Elbaf will never give in. Our Warriors are always prepared to die in glorious battle. And even if I die, there’s still Loki!” — Hajrudin prepares to fight Imu, One Piece Chapter #1191
In other words, Hajrudin is destined to reach a level far greater than that of Harald and potentially even rival Loki, despite not having Ancient Giant blood or a powerful Devil Fruit. Harald, whom we know to be an absolute monster in terms of strength, was only the King of Elbaf. Hajrudin is aiming far beyond what Harald had accomplished, and to see this dream fulfilled, he will need strong abilities. It wouldn’t come as a surprise to us if Hajrudin ended up consuming a Devil Fruit at some point later down the line, but most importantly, one power that we are sure that he will attain at some point in this future of the story is Supreme King Haki.
By definition, Hajrudin wanting to become the King of all the Giants in the world means that he has the ambition of a King. Being the son of Harald automatically means that he has what it takes to awaken Supreme King Haki. Loki is already a user of this power, and it is only a matter of time before Hajrudin ends up awakening it as well. Elbaf would be the perfect stage for him to get this ability, but even if he doesn’t unlock it here, he is bound to get it at some point later down the line. We are eagerly waiting to see his progress as One Piece continues. One Piece Chapter 1192, which is set for release on September 6, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #41, is bound to be massive for him and his strength growth, and we’re waiting to see how Oda handles his character moving forward.
