We’ll get to watch details about the latest Zenless Zone Zero in a few days, as the Special Program stream for 2.5 appears on December 19, 2025. We’ll need to be awake and around at 3:30am PT/6:30am ET/12:30pm CET to catch it. As usual, it will air on Twitch and YouTube.
The 2.5 storyline will keep us in the Waifei Peninsula area, with the Yunkui Summit storyline being a focus. This also came up in the trailer shown at the 2025 The Game Awards. New 2.5 heroine Ye Shunhuang appeared prominently in it, and she’ll be on one of the banners after this update arrives. However, there will be another faction possibly highlighted, as Krampus Compliance Authority’s Zhao will show up and join existing characters Banyue and Dialyn.
Key art shared for this stream also suggested the main antagonist for this update. There’s an image of Ye Shiyuan the Thrall in the background. He comes up in the fifth chapter of season 2 of the game too.
It’s unknown if this showcase could also offer a hint at the next faction. During TGA 2025, HoYoVerse teased three Angels of Delusion Agents. This is an idol group that will appear as playable characters.
Zenless Zone Zero is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and the Special Program stream for the 2.5 update appears at 3:30am PT/6:30am ET/12:30pm CET on December 19, 2025.
