HoYoVerse drip marketing on social media confirmed that the 6.2 Genshin Impact characters will be Durin and Jahoda. The former ended up teased in lore prior to his debut now. The latter is tied to the Curatorium of Secrets that we started learning about after the 6.0 patch. We don’t know if they will both be five-stars or if one will be a four-star.
Durin first started coming up in Mondstadt storylines in Genshin Impact as a rival to D’valin. The latest update teases him as a more friendly face who is known for spending time with Klee in Mondstadt. Another post referenced Fischl and him being a “rival” to her. His title is “The Undying Fire,” and he’ll be a Pyro unit.
In the case of Jahoda, the initial description almost makes her seem like a clumsy and ordinary employee at Nefer’s Curatorium in Genshin Impact. However, there’s a suggestion she might be destined for greatness. Another post also referenced Ineffa coddling her. She will be an Anemo unit and, as such, her title is “Windthreading Shadow.”

The sole 6.1 new character is Nefer. She’s a five-star Dendro character originally from Sumeru who only started to play a part in the story once we reached Nod-Krai. She’s available on a featured banner until November 11, 2025.
