Now, a less dramatic and far more sweet Dreamlight Valley expansion is on the way with Wishblossom Ranch.
The next Dreamlight Valley update may be bringing more familiar faces from Beauty and the Beast back to the valley, but a new expansion set to arrive later this year is adding a huge amount of new content to the life game, including characters, companions, and even mounts. Like A Rift in Time and Storybook Vale before it, we expect Wishblossom Ranch to be a paid DLC, and here’s everything we know about it so far, including the next Dreamlight Valley DLC release date window.
DDV Wishblossom Ranch release date
The Wishblossom Ranch DLC release date is Wednesday, November 19, at 6am PDT / 9am EDT / 2pm BST, as confirmed during an official showcase broadcast for the DLC.
The next free Dreamlight Valley update, meanwhile, doesn’t arrive until December, giving you some time to get to grips with the new Wishblossom Ranch mechanics before Cinderella comes to the base game.
while the DLC has been confirmed for November. Previously, expansions have dropped alongside free content updates, but we don’t think that’s the case this time. Instead, according to the DDV roadmap, we could be lucky enough to have the DLC bookended by a free content update in both October and December. That could also mean plenty of new Dreamlight Valley codes for cool in-game items.
Wishblossom Ranch DLC content
Following the full reveal on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, we know almost all there is to know about the Wishblossom Ranch DLC.
New companions
First off, there’s that adorable duck waddling alongside Snow in the image above. We assume this is just one of three new Dreamlight Valley companions accompanying the three new biomes, but neither of the other two has been uncovered yet, even after looking closely at the trailer below.
Horse mounts
Of course, the biggest news (literally and metaphorically) is new horse mounts!! Including the adorable Maximus from Tangled, we can expect other famous Disney horses. We wished for Pegasus, and our wish came true, while Mulan’s Khan is also available, as well as your own customizable steed. Sven is even available as well, but you have to buy the Deluxe Edition to unlock him.
Horse mounts allow you to travel faster across the islands, farm, jump, and pretty much everything else you can do on foot!
New characters
We already knew Snow White and Tinkerbell were arriving with the new DLC, but now Cruella DeVille and Tigger have also been confirmed, rounding out the cast to four new Dreamlight Valley characters (mounts not included).
New biomes
As you start your journey, you find yourself in the “majestic alpine mountains of the Wishing Alps”. The two other DLC biomes you’ll later uncover are the Victorian-style Glamor Gulch and an overgrown village called Pixie Acres.
