Amid recent restructures, including layoffs and a new leadership, The Sandbox has unveiled the forthcoming launch of Alpha Season 6, coming on Wednesday 24th September.
Running for nine weeks, the season is headlined by The Sandbox’s collaboration with Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, including experiences inspired by its Luzia and Mad Apple programs.
It features 25 games in total spanning Peaky Blinders, Black Mirror, Atari, King Kong, Terminator, Jurassic World, Love Island, The Smurfs, and more.
Two days ahead of the new season, on September 15th, Cirque du Soleil Mannequin collectibles will be introduced. Players can acquire these through quests or in-game progression, and evolve them into costumes based on real Cirque performers, while earning season bonuses.

Powered by the Game Maker 0.12 update, Season 6 also comes with upgrades in terms of gameplay and UGC tools, including Dash and Glide abilities that add speed and style, and enhanced multiplayer matchmaking.
