Mayano Top Gun & Air Grooves Are Brides in Umamusume Banner

A new Umamusume: Pretty Derby banner with three-star versions of Mayano Top Gun and Air Groove as brides will debut on August 28, 2025. Each one marks the first appearance of them at that higher rating. It’s also the first time each one appeared with an alternate outfit. They’ll also appear alongside Support Cards of bridal versions of Hishi Akebono and Kawakami Princess. Both banners run until September 10, 2025, with the characters and cards joining the general pool after.

As seems to be common withalts, their growth rates are increased for three stats instead of just two. Mayano Top Gun gets boosts to Speed, Stamina, and Wisdom with her Sunlight Bouquet version in Umamusume: Pretty Derby, which will help since she uses a Front Runner or Pace Chaser strategy to complete Medium and Long races on Turf. Her Flowery Maneuver Unique Skill will either increase her velocity or acceleration on the final corner when passing depending on her positioning. She can also eventually get the Mystifying Murmur and Swinging Maestro skills by investing in her. 

As for Quercus Civilis: Air Groove, her priority growth stats in Umamusume: Pretty Derby are Speed, Power, and Guts. She’s a Pace Chaser or Late Surger who is best at Medium races on Turf, but could be boosted via inheritances to be a Spring and Mile racer too. Her Eternal Moments Unique Skill is tied to increasing velocity mid-race if she’s in the front half.

The two new Support Cards joining Umamusume: Pretty Derby this week don’t have any especially notable Career Event skills. Princess Bride: Kawakami Princess is a Speed card that could teach your Trainee Center Stage, which helps “early-race” navigation. Who Wants the First Bite: Hishi Akebono is a Guts card that helps Front Runners from being surrounded when a race starts with Sixth Sense.

This marks the last Trainee banner Cygames announced in the August 2025 Umamusume: Pretty Derby schedule. It and the Racing Hearts: Beauty in Bloom event both are set to appear until September 10, 2025. We should learn more about what to expect next month soon. Going by the Japanese releases, we should see Seiun Sky, Hishi Amazon, a banner with alts of El Condor Pasa and Grass Wonder, and Fuji Kiseki. 

Umamusume: Pretty Derby is available for the PC and mobile devices, and the three-star bride versions of Trainees Sunlight Bouquet: Mayano Top Gun and Quercus Civilis: Air Groove debut on August 28, 2025.
